Finally an African American that is not hugging and running all night. Ford fought well but Kholmatov deserved the win or at least a draw, the stoppage was wrong but it was Kholmatovīs fault for not taking a knee or hugging. It it were the other way around, Ford would have hugged, spit his mouth piece, take a knee, etc. Nothing wrong with that but Kholmatov who trains with Mexicans, has that warrior mentality in him. Also, the ref would not stopped the fight if Ford was the one in the ropes, itīs all about protecting the Afro fighters.

This is a good example of a deserved rematch. Not like Spence v Crawford.

He should have been given an 8 count
    But that wasn’t the case
At the end you could see that he was having leg trouble. Y seemed to me that it was more that than being rocked. It was a good fight and both guys gave a good account of themselves. It's crazy that he wasn't allowed to wear a brace on his knee. I guess that some commissions allow it and some don't.

it it would have been the other way the ESPN cheerleaders and ref would not have stopped that fight since Kholmatov was winning.

Re-watch it! Kholmatov didn't know where the ropes were because he was practically out on his feet!

I don't like premature stoppages anymore than the next person, but that stoppage was more than justified.

I knew Ford would win this. He's had up and down performances but there was enough to see in past them to tell he was a class fighter. Just didn't know he had a clutch gene.

Before this fight took place I mentioned that Ford was up against a gret deal and would need to do many perfect or good things to win, heart was display in rocky moments, good defense, and I said he must be busy however he was behind because of not being busy. He was punching hard not often as I would like but the real winner in my opinion was the great work his corner did and keeping him informed the right way and was honest and encouraging the whole time. Awesome corner!

You can’t turn your back and keep your hands down. That’s practically baiting a ref to jump in and stop it.
