The reality is that it should be jail time. The problem with the system is that the penalties for putting other people's lives at risk are small but if through simple bad luck you kill somebody it's years of prison time.

that other thread about that poor dumb kid in St Louis. He'd been caught driving recklessly twice before but the penalty wasn't sufficient to make him stop. Now two women are dead, his life is ruined and he's looking at a serious stretch of time in prison.

Wow!!!!!! Was this in NY? And not even a reckless driving charge? Man he did at least 10 felonies. His insurance is gonna go way up. And hopefully the DMV steps up. This clown does not need a license
