It's not silly when a fighter ducks his mandatory for three years. This "Canelo has nothing to prove" is ridiculous if he holds belts. If he doesn't want to fight his mandatory hẹ needs to give up the belts or get the hell out of boxing and the 168 pound division.

The only question is, will Benavidez "cross the street", is he even allowed to, does he even want to face Canelo on DAZN? From his last interview it doesnt seem he intends to do so.

A few years ago, that's the key. And no, you don't offer the same money to the guy that just whoop your a$$. He wanted and deserved more money, or the same money for his 168 belts.

He just turned down 55m guaranteed plus PPV and left the same promotion as David, yet you are still optimistic the fight will happen. That sounds extremely logical...

              Allegedly. I don't know if that's true.

Eddie Hearn alleges that he turned down the deal because Benavidez wasn't an option so who really knows?

              I'm sure he'd fight Benavidez.

He’s been a big money making prise fighter for almost 20 years and he will fight Benividas just not now. It hasn’t been 2 years to build up this fight. Mayweather/pac was over 5 and Crawford/spence was about the same so it’s early and building. They never give us what we want when we want it.

People have been calling for this fight 4 years ago. Floyd said on tv, two years ago he thought Canelo was ducking Benavidez. Stop pretending like this happened over night lol. Even 2 years to build up a fight is terrible. Just because it took 5 years for another fight does not mean that should be the standard. Those fights were well past their best.
