I understand the demise of Showtime caused some uncertainty, but that should have lasted maybe a month tops where they figure out how to move on and get a new contract. Obviously Showtime had to cut the deals they had or they already fulfilled them knowing that they were out the door. I'm surprised it's taking this long for some of them to sort their **** out. Are they forgetting this is a young man's sport? That it's a sport where ring rust is a thing? Where being inactive compromises your opportunities if you're not yet a big name? If I were them and somehow still locked into a contract that is going nowhere, it might be time to get a lawyer and spend some of that money to get out of it if they want to make bigger money.

he actually have a fight coming up soon... he post updates on his instagram page... i have been a bad critic of him.. no hate or anything but i just see him as a weaker ryan garcia... when i said weaker, i dont mean less heart, but he's like a ryan garcia with less skills.. dude trains out of his garage only.. he doesnt really have like a real training camp.. i hope he proves me wrong because he's a good person all around but i just dont see much potential with him.. he needs to get with a real boxing trainer if he wants to succeed imo... i think his pops have done great with him but he needs a more experienced trainer if he wants to continue to improve.

Mati was dropped by Matchroom iirc. Stanionis is waiting on a date. Ababiy is fighting in April but again I imagine Matchroom dropped him after some very listless performances.

It seems like Stanionis is in a perpetual state of waiting. Maybe MR should try to get him for Benn.

I don’t think it makes massive sense for Benn, it’s a hard fight that he probably wouldn’t win and doesn’t make much money. They’ll cash him out against a bigger name IMO. Signing Stanionis for MR would be great but only if they can get Boots as well or if they can make Stanionis-Giyasov for the full WBA title first.

Same as with any inactive PBC fighter at this point. If there's not a PPV undercard to stick these guys on, they just don't fight. They don't have the money apparently to put on regular shows anymore.
