Somewhat true, but Linares is a far more skilled fighter than Garcia even at his old age with a much bigger arsenal of punches and combinations and was barely able to get to Haney until late in the fight. Prograis is also pretty skilled and heavy handed and could barely land a big shot, while getting dropped, stunned multiple times and completely outclassed by Haney. Haney can punch hard enough to keep guys honest and Garcia is nowhere near the class that those two guy are. Puncher's chance is all he has and one punch at a time is most likely not gonna do it. Only time will tell.

@Chavmex40 what are you talking about? If he loses it’s over for him? They’re professional fighters, let them fight. Risk is part of it. Talking like this is what’s wrong with the sport. Roll the dice and bring your best. He’s young as f. Regroup, upgrade and bring it again.

Different styles, Prograis has short arms and can only be successful against a more flat footed fighter, Haney was to quick on both feet and hands, against Garcia he is a tall fighter and fights way different than Prograis, but the problem is Garcia sometimes doesn't fight tall and could really help him in this fight, I still favor Haney

          - If Ryan wins, he takes his "not smart guy" road show to the next level
          - I struggle to see this fight as fan friendly. Haney is not going to try and punish him. I imagine he out-skills Ryan and we get a boring affair.

such is the status of boxing!
Fight will look like Shakur vs Santos. Ryan is so poorly developed but has fast hands. Haney will fight safety first. I'd have Ryan pressure him like Teo and Loma, just throwing straight rights with a left hook mixed in. That's the only way you will get anything that looks like an exciting fight.

That comment would bounce back hard if Garcia was able to beat Haney!

I like Garcia's chances, Garcia showed in the tank fight that he is not afraid to go very aggressive in against a elite counter puncher to land his shots and I don't think Haney has the power to keep him off , I can see a stoppage for Garcia , I don't see why people count Garcia , people think he can't fight , he sure can , I'm looking forward to this , gotta give both guys credit , fighting top fighter after top fighter , which most are scared of now days

Ryan is very good and world class, although I don't see him quite at Haney's level.

He's a draw card for sure, and I think he's cashing in well now, making it count, to be comfortable.

Save and invest wisely, because most don't earn that kind of money, at such a young age, in any field.

he's kinda right though... i havent seen a better version of ryan at all.. not when he was with team canelo, then the white trainer who did nothing but shows up for a check and now with team spence but i havent seen any improvements.

I think this will be another Matador vs Bull fight. Boring as they seem. I really miss the Tyson like punchers who would humiliate these technician boxers. Just my preference.

One of Ryan Garcia's problems is that he is defensively irresponsible, almost acutely so. Haney is very much the opposite, but that is also what makes him less exciting to watch than Garcia.

People are saying all Garcia has is a punch, but this isn't quite true -- he does also have plenty of speed. Unfortunately, he also seems to lack discipline and it will likely prove his undoing. Don't think this fight is a gimme for Haney, though the odds have to be with him. We have seen Haney on ***** street before, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Garcia clips him a good one, though Haney has the instincts to hug for dear life, so might even be able to weather such a contingeny.
