We will get Canelo/Benavidez "eventually" it will make no sense why it was so difficult to make

agree with you but most of those guys were title holders in the same division and you had that weird thing where ABCs wont rank other title holders or make them mandatories so those guys were free to duck each other and keep their belts.

What makes Canelo - David interesting is that David is now the mandatory and we will see all the mental gymnastics they use to allow Canelo to keep his title while not facing his mandatory. We can already see they are talking about getting david up to 175 and to relinquish his mandatory rights.

Asterixnelo will never take the Benny fight. He'll take the easy Charlo bag and call it a day.

Because Canelo's fans think they're part of his team, and they start making weird demands instead of wanting their guy to just fight the best guys.

Only problem is that he's done that his entire ****ing career.

There is no defending why this fight should not be made. Both guys are open and it is one of the biggest fights in boxing at the moment.

Both guys are not open lol. One guy is pissing himself. This is a rerun of Floyd Margarito which is no surprise as canelo has molded his career after Floyd with a few slip ups like fighting ggg too early and bivol robbery didn't materialize

Open as they don't have a fight coming up, it is at the right weight for both guys and it is ripe.

...and WBC is a primary enabler because they are toothless. Canelo already slapped them down once before when he dropped their title iirc. Canelo should drop all or a majority of the titles because it is proven that he's BIGGER than them, but I think he's holding onto them for a specific purpose. I'm also interested to see what happens if he vacates all of the titles: will the contenders actually start fighting each other...or will they continue to wait for Canelo??

Well, most likely you got all the fights you wanted him to take right? If he ducked anyone except maybe Andrade or even Charlo at 160 I couldn't name them.

Canelo's mere presence causes disruption for the weight classes around him because everyone is looking to be cherry-picked. The WBC then creates more issues in order to appease those who are 'wronged' by Canelo, like allowing Jermall Charlo to hold the WBC belt hostage or giving Benavidez an interim LHW title shot. These 'solutions' just create more problems.....like Adames being refused his title shot. Then look at how Crawford is waiting around at WW instead of fighting a top contender there or at 154.

These are the main reasons why I want Canelo to drop the titles, even-though I won't lose sleep if he doesn't face Benavidez. Another solution to the current SMW problem is the sanctioning bodies coming together to create a mini-tourney to find one mandatory contender for their Undisputed champion.
