Vs a guy who is 0-1? AJ doesn't think much of himself.

Under normal circumstances, I’d always root for the boxer in these scenarios as an mma guy beating a boxer is an embarrassment for the sport. However, in this circumstance, Ngannou comes off as a more humble fighter and if him beating AJ rids the sport of AJ and his cast of delusional British fangirls, it’ll be worth it.

I wish deontay was fighting francis. I think Francis wins

I STILL think Joshua will win by stoppage in 6 rounds but I have changed my mind on Ngannou. I re-watched the whole Fury fight and I do think Ngannou is actually pretty good in many ways. His sheer size is a problem. The way he holds his left arm out ready to strike + his huge reach, is dangerous for anyone. He also moved very well against Fury. And he used his solid chin to his advantage to land shots too.

Before I had Joshua at 95/5 but now I put him 80/20. It all depends on how well Francis can take AJ's hard shots. Fighters like Ruiz and Franklin could take Joshua's punches and Ngannou has serious power to fire back. Also the MMA style has often been hard for boxers to manage - it's something they are not used to.

I still think the way AJ boxes will be too much for Francis to handle ultimately. AJ just does everything so well and he has great footwork and a superb (hard) jab

For me, to have to see the boxing news where the UFC world gloats and rants and laughs hysterically at the boxing world where they would proclaim that they can compete with all the boxing champs while they only need a few fights or less - that is not something that sits well with TRUE boxing fans like me. Joshua needs to spark Francis out or Boxing will get yet another huge embarrassing moment and the Boxing world would be the laughing stock and would have to tuck their legs between their tales. This is NOT an acceptable outcome for TRUE boxing fans.

And to my last point, I'm not against a UFC fighter having the talent and abilities to enter the boxing world but A) they should climb the ladder and not be placed above the many boxers who deserve a fight against a champ (even for some ****** circus act) - boxers who were waiting ahead and earned the right to not have to wait for a circus act to complete, and B) having the UFC come to the conclusion that they can compete with boxing champs at the get go - which at this point places the responsibility on Joshua to end Francis asap and not give the UFC any opportunity to laugh at the Boxing world.

One thing i never understood in boxing is how much fans miss observation on the effect of clinching in the fight in wearing an opponent down.

It stands to reason an excellent wrestler / grappler with decent boxing AND who is resilient / can take enormous punishment and punches as hard as any HW is going to give any boxer nightmares. That’s not even factoring the mindset of a guy who worked in mines at 10 yrs old for years.

Fury never faced anyone who could manhandle him the way Ngannou could. This meant his best weapon (leaning and fighting dirty on inside) was negated. Its not about MMA vs Boxing as few MMA fighters have boxing at even B/C grade like Ngannou so its academic as we see with Jake Paul success.

Some of best boxers actually started in wrestling or martial arts that include grappling. Terence Crawford is just one example. Even V. Klitschko started in kickboxing where grappling is a key factor.

Usyk is the best guy hes faced, followed by a faded but still good Wlad. Ngannou might actually be the most dangerous opponent for him outside of those two though. Hes definitely the best athlete and maybe the biggest hitter.
