You don't think Benn vs Garcia would be a competitive fight? Sure Danny has been out of the ring for some time and is past his best but Benn hasn't proved anything since he tested positive. He beat two lower level fighters by decision and didn't even do any damage. Meanwhile, he's calling out Tank, Vergil, Boots, etc. He would get smoked by all three easy.
I don't think it's a given that Benn beats Garcia, even an older, inactive, shop worn Danny. Benn is no world beater. He hasn't been able to crack an egg since he came back from his layoff due to cheating, besides of course the eggs he supposedly ingested that put clomiphene in his system!

Depends if Danny turns up. Style wise Benn is suited to Danny because he does like to fight center ring and let his hands go and that's what Danny likes to do in there himself. But Benn is younger fresher and not as shop worn and been active so that could play a factor but like you said up at a higher weight he doesn't seem to carry same kind of power. But it's the perfect fight to see if Benn is any good or if he's just not that level because if he gets wiped out by a older not very active Danny Garcia then he ain't going to be a threat to any top welter/super welter like a boots Ennis or vergil Ortiz

The appeal hearing has been done, the results will be in soon according to Eddie Hearn.

If UKAD and thus the BBBoC lose the appeal then he's clear to fight.

Yeah I don't get why people are expecting him to sit out still. Benn's been cleared to fight, it's the BBoBC who are appealing against a decision, not Benn. The only thing that should prevent him fighting now is if the BBoBC win their appeal.

It's a very weird narrative that's getting pushed, it's ridiculous. And people who should know better are doing it too.

You'll hear people say he hasn't had a hearing......He has literally had his hearing and won it.

Then you'll still see people parrot "he needs to get infront the BBBoC and explain his innocence" when that it literally the hearing he had. The BBBoC don't hold hearings they don't know the first thing about drugs, they go through UKAD for all their drug testing matters who have hearings via the NAPD which is what Benn did and won.

I'm not fan of Benn, very far from it but at this point he has literally done everything in his power that he can do. He's had his hearing, he won his hearing and his suspension was lifted. Now it's been appealed and the outcome will be determined imminently to that.

Interesting matchup although I don't particularly like either fighter. Garcia has shown to have a decent chin although his power hasn't really carried as he's gone up.

I don't rate Benn high but I imagine if he can avoid Garcia timing and catching him, he should be able to outwork his older, shopworn opponent.

I would like this fight a lot more if Danny was active in the last year. It would definitely be a bigger fight in U.K.
