How did Roy Jones Jr not get knocked down by this punch from James Toney

Around 6:10 into the video. Looks like an incredible shot while Toney had his body turned. Was it cause Roy rolled with the punch or it just didn't hit as cleanly as it looked. Or maybe his chin was just not bad in his prime

    Yeah, saw that before.

Answer: Because he was healthy and still had his soul at full strength.

Your chin is only as good as your health.

Yes it was. It was also good reactions from Toney for throwing it.

Roy Jones is really strong when he was still in his prime and has a decent chin for sure.. But if Jones was hit 5-10x with that punch then i think he will be on the canvas by then..

I think he was younger, better stamina, more confident. I think it improved his punch resistance to a degree.

He turned with that shot. Not really what I would call a solid punch.
