I would hazard a guess that it was mostly leather that landed on Jones there, and not so much in the fist department.
    Yeah, that too.

It was a glancing blow just like Lampley said. That knockdown was more from a push and being off balance as well.

Wasn't as hard a punch as it looks. If Toney connected witht he left hook he hit Nunn with, we'd be talking.

RJ did not have a bad chin until he had to lose 20 pounds of muscle moving back down from heavyweight. He took some good shots in his prime no problem.

simple. because he didnt have to drop 25 lbs of muscle like he had to after he beat ruiz then had to drop it to go fight tarver. he never fully recovered from that which showed against tarver fights and glen johnson

I have a question. I am not going to dispute that the 25lbs of muscle loss. Did not effect Roy in a negative way. But, IMO it sounds like some fans believe the muscle loss was the reason Roy got KO by Tarver. So my question is if that is the reason then why did he not get KO'd by Tarver in the first fight? Or atleast a knockdown in a fight that went 12rds?

Exactly, dunno why people are talking as if Roy had an AMir Khan like chin, cause he got knocked out a couple of times after losing a **** load of muscle??

                      Didnt look that big.

Jones took a few big shots in many fights, but took them well. His chin wasnt glass like some people think.
