Canelo is one if the most protected Champions in History, not only avoiding certain opponents but the scorecard as well. He lost the first 2 fights with GGG and alot of people thought he lost to Lara. Bivol beat him comfortably so was hard to give him the decision and this destroyed their plans now avoiding the fighter most want to see him fight, it's a joke tbh.

Canelo will never grow as a fighter if he doesn't take on the best. He likes to fight guys that fit within his skill set. He will not fight Benavidez, Beterbiev, Morrell, Munguia or any fighter that will give him a challenge or fight back. He is turning into a modern day "Money" Mayweather. He is just fighting guys he can beat to make the most money possible without incurring the most harm to his body. De La Hoya and Mayweather created this monster. De La Hoya by being his promoter and Mayweather by doing the same thing now that Canelo is copying. Fighting guys past their primes.

At this point I have very low expectations for Canelo.

Canelo is a patriot and a man of convictions, he said he won't fight any mexicans and he meant it

he could've fought that mexican chump Zurdo instead of Bivol, that would've been a very winnable and profitable fight for him, yet he said šnoš

so Benavidez and Munguia are no-noes as well. Stop bringin up their names, he won't fight them

not out of fear, lazyness or greediness. but because they're mexican

I can see Canelo challenging the Beterbiev/Bivol winner in the future

for now, he'll probably settle for Charlo, Mbili, Spence or Crawford
