I had it a draw. Or both guys losing. I can appreciate that Ortiz came with a (good) gameplan that Teo couldn't stop him from executing, but you gotta add punches to the stick and move. I don't even think it's that Teo is inconsistent at this point. I think he legit doesn't know how to cut off the ring. And his dad is a crap trainer.

I think you can make a genuine argument that Ortiz won, but 115-113 Lopez isn’t egregious IMO. The 117-111 card was egregious though.

A bad look for Teofimo though, he definitely struggles to cut the ring off. Doesn’t bode well for potential fights against rivals such as Haney and Shakur.
What's hilarious is if you just score the fight based on commentary. You had Tim Bradley nearly yelling at the screen that Teo can't cut the ring off if his life depended on it. He brought up the ring cut off aspect almost every single round. Sounds like a guy is surely on his way to losing a decision based on that commentary. Then you get, AND STILL!!! rofl. Only in boxing.

Nah man, dude was boxing. This was not Rigondeux stinking up the joint throwing 1 punch, holding and running away. This was not Ward clinching 80 times. It was not Wlad's boring complacency.

Ortiz moved and boxed. When Teo started complaining and backing up, Ortiz came and got him EVERY time. This stinker is on Teo's inability to box and cut off the ring. Ortiz is a boxer. What, he's supposed to get into a slugfest with the bigger, stronger fighter just because that guy complains to the ref?

He was running. That was a very negative performance. He didn’t even land 100 punches in a 12 round world title fight.

I LOVE counterpunchers. That said, Ortiz had all the skills on his side to fook up Teo. HE DIDNT. He chose to play it safe. Any man that runs like he did . Should loose half his check period.
He didn’t TAKE the belt away from Teo. He did play the game better but that don’t mean you should win. Beat up the champ!! Look what Crawford did to a monster like Spence. Even if, let’s say Crawford didn’t KO Spence. He counterpunched him all night long and beat him up. That DESERVES the belt. The sheeit Ortiz did didn’t deserve the win nor a full check.
