Klimas is quite a dumb f*** (so is Krassyuk, so maybe Loma is lucky he doesn't deal with both). No matter how good Loma is (maybe he isn't that good after all), he has at least two legit losses (close or not) and he always claims he's been robbed. The fact is haney beat loma. There is no robbery you ****** casual bum. Loma did not create any type of separation that suggests otherwise, got beaten up to the body and had to go to the hospital post fight while crying like a baby. Since you apparently need a reminder, here's what you said to start out:
and yet Salido was the one to initiate the clinches that you said were illegal. Most of those clinches you claim Loma was responsible for, Loma is actually trying to disengage and Salido is holding on, such as Rd 2 0:02, Rd 3 2:30, etc.
The ref warned Loma for holding in Rd 3, after Loma had already disengaged, and Salido had tied Loma up 3 times to 1 just in that round without being warned even once. The commentators even assumed that Salido was the one being warned and had to correct themselves. By that point in the fight Salido had tied up 7 times to 3 from Loma, and held the arms on the tie up the only two times it happened. Are you really trying to use the one sided ref who ignored numerous fouls from Salido and called Loma on tying up for a brief second then immediately disengaging as evidence? Cole got called out by virtually every news outlet for his poor job, just the latest of many controversies for someone whose father was the boxing commissioner of the state. And here you are trying to use the corrupt actions of a notorious ref as evidence that Loma was fouling too?
ESPN wrote, "Cole warned him only once and did not seem too concerned" regarding low blows.
In an interview with The Ring Magazine, Laurence admitted that his performance in the fight "might not have been his 'A-game." and they noted "Cole came under fire for appearing to allow Salido to land an inordinate amount of low blows."
Boxing Insider wrote, "Of course Salido didn't exactly win the fight fair and square. The guy was about as dirty as they come on Saturday. He hit low and hit low consistently. Referee Laurence Cole didn't seem to notice, or to much care, so Salido whacked Lomachenko below the beltline throughout the entire bout..."
Boxing.com wrote, "Few referees have turned in a performance as bad as that which Laurence Cole blessed us with Saturday night in, inevitably, San Antonio, Texas" and "astonishingly bad performance" in its article. They have claimed that the referee Laurence Cole failed to enforce rules on clinching, pushing and blows below the belt. The site has also mentioned: "not only should this ridiculous excuse for a referee be sacked forthwith but the role of his father plays in allegedly consistently obtaining for him some of the biggest fights in Texas in his role with the Texan commission needs to be investigated."
Yahoo! Sports wrote that the fight was "poorly officiated by referee Laurence Cole, who missed numerous fouls and seemed to let anything go."
Bad Left Hook wrote, "Maligned Texas referee Laurence Cole's performance was roundly and rightly criticized for missing a metric ton of Salido's low blows, which landed on the thighs and hips mainly. And that mattered."
The Sweet Science wrote, "Holding and hitting, hitting on the break, low blows galore... Salido was aided by ref Laurence Cole who left his glasses at home."
You really don't understand why missing weight is considered a foul? Do you just not understand the concept of weight divisions? Imagine being such an ignorant fanboy of SALIDO of all people.
This was a featherweight bout for which Salido came in as a WELTERWEIGHT, fully 11 pounds over Loma for fight night. If you don't understand that's deliberate cheating, you really are just an ignorant fanboy. The cheating from Salido started at the weigh in and continued for the whole fight.
Controversial split decision result aside, Salido was as dirty as it comes for that fight, and it's disingenuous to pretend that it was anything but one sided. The press coverage for that ensures that the historical record will show that you're alone in that delusion.
