Tyson Fury will never fight Usyk. The fight will be scuttled once and for all in early May when Fury suffers a mental breakdown. He will retire and then gloriously return 5 years later as the undefeated, lineal Gypsy King to face Derek Chisora in a 4th, 5th and 6th fight.

Filip Hrgovic is not a WBA ranked heavyweight. They would strip Usyk for taking that fight, and *POOF*, no more "Undisputed" fight available.

Hence the "Value" of those alphabet titles.

Hrgovic is the IBF mandatory what does the WBA got to do with it ?

Plus it would have taken care of that damn IBF mandatory which has hung over everything. It seems the Saudis really don't care for that fight.

            18. Unified Title Defense. A holder of a unified title is subject to all rules requirements, including those regarding mandatory defense. In the intermediate period between the mandatory defenses, a Unified Champion will be able to defend his title against any opponent chosen from the official ratings list of the Association, or of the other sanctioning organizations and with the approval of those organizations. If the defense is against someone other than the Association’s Mandatory Contender, approval must be obtained through a Special Permit.

Nope, he didn’t. If he did, I’d have switched to the opposite view.

Agreed. Would much rather watch Usyk fight Hrgovic than watch Usyk not fight Fury.

No undisputed title on the line anytime soon, is what.

WBA would likely strip Usyk for fighting a non-ranked opponent, and whoever won between Usyk and Hrgovic would not be fighting for Undisputed once they got around to challenging Fury for the WBC and Historical titles.

Just follow along and stop asking questions J.

Above even those of the WBC, IBF and WBO, those WBA rules are....unwieldy.

The IBF is next in line though so the WBA can’t strip him that’s as dumb as it gets on here since when would another sanction body strip a fighter of a belt bc a certain fighter isn’t rated by them . Lol

If Usyk won nothing happens beyond getting a mandatory out of the way and if Hrgovic won he’d get at least the IBF belt .

If I followed you I’d be in serious trouble on here . Lol
