Yeah i get it, but i don't respect him for taking the bag when he doesn't need it and it doesn't matter if i did or not.

If there were any karma he'd get ironed out and starched proper rather than just dropped by the big MMA guy.
Well, Wallin was ranked in the Top 10, so, he kind of was. The requirements to be a “true top 10 guy” is to be ranked in the Top 10, which he was.

AJ-Fury wasn’t possible for this time frame, let’s not be ridiculous. The Fury-Usyk fight was already signed per Ngannou-Fury.

More money and less risk (potentially) with Francis. He didn't face any dangerous opponent after Usyk.

You pay your fees you get a ranking. You duck and cherry pick to preserve the ranking.

It doesn't mean shît if you never fight the guys others avoid because they are legit contenders.

Next you'll be telling me Dubois is legit top 10 too.

No you don’t He was in the Top 10 of The Ring Magazine’s rankings. Nothing to do with paying fees.

Dubois isn’t in the Top 10, no. Wallin was.

Since his loss he’s not ranked but he was ranked in the top 10 when AJ beat him.

They’ve got a panel who do the rankings.

Out of all the opponents, who are all punchers, except for Otto and Sanchez (who moves very well for AJ), he picked number 10 - Otto, who was his sparring partner and is not a puncher. But The Ring's number 10 in November was Bakole, then Otto replaced him. Now, the question is what Otto is, because, for some haters, he is a bum when Fury fought him. But to others, he is good because AJ fought him. Otto beat "one of the best opponents" (Gassiev) of Usyk, so is Otto a bum? If he is, then "one of the best Usyk's opponents" is even a greater bum. Some fans suffer from schizophrenia.

To me, Otto is a good boxer, but he lacks enough never to be near to a title shot. In AJ's case, he was the lowest risk, which is not worth the respect, considering the other tops available and the fact AJ knows Otto pretty well and previously fought Franklin and Helenius and was very unimpressive. Now AJ has an exhibition fight, one that is not even 12 rounds, against a 0-1 fighter, which fight will determine who will challenge the Undisputed.

Saudi’s probably threw an insane amount of money to him which makes it very hard to refuse such an offer.

There isn’t a fighter in the world who would turn down that kind of money if they’re not used to such fight purses.

Ngannu is reportedly going to make $20m, and AJ I think $50m. You don’t turn that down for Zhang, Hrgovic or anyone. Unless it’s for more money. Which only Fury and Wilder can generate that much or more for AJ. Not Zhang or Hrgovic.

I know some fans like to say they don’t care about fight purses and what a fighter is making. But money literally dictates what fights we get to see.

According to Eddie Hearn, he spoke to Turki immediately after Parker beat Wilder. Turki confirmed that fighting Wilder was no longer an option and asked Eddie who he thought the best alternative opponent would be. Eddie told him that would be Ngannou. Turki agreed and the rest is history.
