Yeah, I didn't see this fight coming. I was looking at the 154 stable which got ample fighters that are available. Not exactly the best names, but enough to keep a hungry Aussie busy.

I probably would give Thurman a competitive chance if he got more power. His offense, which is his strong suit, is mainly his defense. But we shall see if moving up to 155 would translate to power improvement.

If it is Thurman is a lot smarter than green Zab was, you know that's what cost Zab the fight don't you, he could have boxed his ears off if he used his boxing ability instead of trying to boss him, same here with Thurman, he has the ability to outbox Tzsyu but he needs to hurt him early to get respect otherwise Tim is too strong but Tim doesn't punch near as hard as his dad did, ability-wise Thurman is a lot better than Tim, the fight hinges on what has Thurman got left, Tim can be outboxed his feet are not quick and he moves in straight lines, he is in terminator mode just walking forward in one gear, I watched the Mendoza fight carefully and there is a lot of holes in Tim Thurman can exploit. The Thurman that beat Barrios would beat Tim resume easy, my biggest concern is Thurmans lack of power he should have put Barrios away but couldn't really phase him and Tim is a lot physically stronger than Barrios but about the same speed, although he had Barrios in the same position Tim had Mendoza and neither could finish their man.
