basically it comes down to this. the mayweather haters prefer for a fighter to get respect and legacy to fight shane Oldsley who had a couple of chances to fight floyd and he blew it. than fight cotto or pac for 20million. i like 20million. **** the legacy and respect ****.

This is simple, and I can't believe that we are going through all this.

Floyd doesn't want to fight Shane. Not because he is scared of Shane, but because he doesn't LIKE Shane.

Floyd offered Shane a fight when FMJ was a SFW , and Shane was the scariest LW on the planet.
Floyd offered Shane a fight when Shane was coming off a KO of Vargas.

Floyd was chasing Shane when Floyd was at 140, and Shane was at 154.

Floyd came up to fight Oscar. A big, fast JMW.

It's not about fear. It's about money and power.

The reason PBF isn't fighting Shane is because he doesn't want to let Shane make money off him. When Floyd needed Shane, SM basically blew him off. Now, the shoe is DEFINITELY on the other foot. Shane needs a big money fight, and can't create one on his own.

But Floyd can't say that to the media. Anybody with a brain and who has followed the sport closely knows what is up. Floyd is trying to be media-positive by not slagging Shane too badly. He can't sound like a vindictive person by saying "I'm not paying Shane. He dogged me". He will sound like a hurt schoolgirl. Which Floyd may or may not be.

Anyone who thinks that Floyd needs Shane is either blinded by hate, or extremely unknowledgeable. Mayweather can make big money fights anaywhere. Name the other people who can turn Baldomir and Marquez into 8 figure paydays.

IMO championships are a tool to rise your standing and get your name out there. Floyd already did that while moving up gradually through the weight divisions and beating champions to get to the top of each division he's been in. If you take time to look at the records cotto made his name off fighting guys floyd had already beat(I mean zab judah and demarcus corley during the peak times where cotto was argued to be the #1 contender), in his fourth division by the way, very similar to what pac has done as of late. but the point i'm trying to make is this is the point in a fighters career when they are looking for the best money fights if they handled their career right so you can't compare fighting for championships then with now.

Where you pulling out numbers out of ur ass from? You do realize a Mosley/Cotto fight will land in close to the same purse right. You do realize Shane/Mayweather would do more buys and a better 24/7. You do realize he could get a bigger cut vs. Shane than Cotto as well right. Donkey.

If you don't like a guy you beat him up. I wouldnt let my hate for someone stop me from not only beating the guy but it also erases a question mark that will stick with his legacy. He got called out on national tv once and just recently in the ring. If that gets done to a real fighter, you go beat the guy up. It's boxing at the end of the day.

i want floyd to fight cotto....that fight is the best welterweight fight. when cotto beats pac(and he should) than this is the fight i want to see. if floyd doesn't fight cotto after he beats pac than i will question him and lose my respect for him, EVEN if he fights shane mosley!!! because cotto kicked shane's ass already and is the real #1 ww!

Ok now we are getting somewhere man
I agree that a pac cotto fight will make way more money than a fight with SSM but you yourself are showing why Floyd is ducking mosley

if he is so good and is gonna fight a stay busy fight in december why not fight shane in December for your allegedly $5mill and then fight the winner of pac cott for over 20 mill

He wont make $5mill to fight a nobody in a stay busy fight

I dont know about you but to me making $25 mill is alot better than making less for two fights.

                  So the question really is
why not fight shane as your active fight instead of someone else?

When you look at it like that doesnt it make you think maybe he wants no part of a true WW champ
rather than "I dont need Mosley"

                  Just food for thought homey!

Lets says that he is upset at Mosley of not giving him an opportunity when Shane was on top. So fine, but Floyd had said that he is not waiting for the winner of Cotto/Pac. So then who the hell is he fighting or who you think he should fight?
