This is a really good fight actually. Parker, I think, has improved since the Joyce loss, which one would've thought unlikely.

Yet Parker did improve, and I heard it's his conditioning that he has worked on.

I still favour Zhang though, who is a smarter fighter than given credit for. It's a competitive fight, no sure bet.

Parker got good experience he might do ok. It will be competitive. I'm favouring Zhang but things not clear as day

this is the wrong strategy for Parker. ZZ will gas if he has to chase. he needs to cautiously stalk and counter-punch.

          lol he hasn't improved.

Joyce was always better than Deontay.

It's an interesting matchup. Zhang hits hard, has deceptively fast hands and can land the sneaky punches. His gas tank is a big question mark, he's faded in several fights when the opponent wasn't stopped.

Zhang's best performances were against two guys (Joyce and Hrgovic) who were there to be hit. If Parker can keep fighting from angles, and make Zhang move, throw and miss, he might be able to get to Zhang when he's thoroughly gassed.

Parker may not be the hardest hitter but I think Zhang's demise will ultimately come from exhaustion. Let's see if Joseph can be the one to do it. Good matchup.

Joe Joyce name was being mentioned in p4p discussions. Still surprised how fast he folded against Zhang.

it's one of those stylistic things. Joyce was the juggernaut. ZZ was like a tank. when you watch the fight it was like the juggernaut getting rolled over by a tank

I don't think he's necessarily improved. He was always a good fighter - it's just that guys get written off after a loss. There are plenty on here who embarrassed themselves with their views on Parker.

I favour Zhang too. But if someone can take him into the later rounds then it might be Parker.

Zhang can box, Zhang has world to elite level power, and he is durable.

This is a completely, different fight and challenge for Parker compared to the Deontay Wilder fight.

For the few that gave Parker a serious chance to beat Wilder 'Myself, and those other few people around here? Could all see from miles away, how and why Parker could pose Wilder issues'.

Now with this match up between Parker vs Zhang? Just being a fundamentally sound and disciplined boxer, may not be enough to win rounds vs Zhang.

I have not analysed the fight much, but at this stage 'The game plan is not clear for Parker, other than to whack Zhang and hurt him'.

Note: Soon as Parker vs Wilder was announced, I stated straight away 'Parker is a better boxer than Wilder, and is most likely the most powerful puncher he has ever fought, combined with solid durability. I could see from a mile off, that Parker had the ability and skills to take rounds off Wilder and also hurt him to a degree.

Joe Joyce is a solid puncher, and never really hurt Zhang. Zhang is also a World and Olympic Medalist in the amateur ranks 'Zhang has good boxing skills'.

This is a very difficult fight for Parker, maybe he just has to box a disciplined fight and take Zhang into the latter rounds 'Maybe focus on body attacks, more than up top' etc.

This is Prime Oilskin Parker were seeing now. He wants the challenge and trusts his team and his training.

Putting mental and physical pressure better than Joyce did would be his gameplan too. Take Big **** into deep waters with enough gas in the tank to knock him over in the championship rounds.

A healthy, motivated 32 yr old Parker under Lee's stewardship ain't no joke. He's not looking ahead to anybody and will gladly face whoever is put in front of him.

No cherry picking entitled guarantees for a trash belt. No needing Fury for redemprion. No pressure to perform in a cross over exhibition. No worries about ducking Wilder. No new trainer trying to patch up an insecure fighter.

No looking beyond Zhang and probably no rematch clause.. This will be the Mighty Oilskin's best win and a showcase of Shifu Lee's masterful training and game planning.
