The cubans tend to fold at the highest level with elite pressure fighters and benavidez is a counter puncher on top of that. Morrel is gonna beat down pretty bad.

Rate Morell highly, think he'd smoke the likes of Ryder, Munguia and Derevyenchenko. Also think he'd win a decision against Canelo (providing the judges give him a fair shake). Morell vs Benavidez would be a fantastic fight, think that is a genuine 50 50 fight.

Find me another SMW past or present with a similar resume than Morrell Jr with ten fights, find only one.
So what? No one wants to see mismatches, David smokes Morell inside the distance just like every other Cuban fighter when they face a top flight Mexican fighter. The only one that lasted was Lara against Canelo and that's because he came in to run the NY Marathon. I guess if that's Morell plan maybe he won't get knocked out. Go fight other top guys, prove something and then he can talk. And so what that he won a complete fake secondary title from the most corrupt organization in boxing, fighting the bottom of the barrel to win it, that don't mean sh**. I mean Morell turned down Mibili already, this guy is a complete clown

If he fights and impresses against any of the above mentioned, I'll be impressed. Until then I'll be on the sidelines watching patiently to see if he is the goods or a bust. Not jumping on the bandwagon just yet until I see more proof.

Morrell is a big boxer-puncher & will be tough for any 168 lb fighter.

Tell me what was Morell doing at 20 yrs old??? I know what he wasn't doing fighting ranked opponents for championships in the professionals.

Morell gets carved up brutally by Benavidez mark my words..
LMAO! Morell will smoke that guy in less than 6 rounds. Put your money on it!

You don't have to be impressed but Bena for sure! Let see if he dares!

I wish Morrell would talk less and fight more. Maybe even upgrade to some B level opponents.

They have to sign for the fight. Benavidez' dad and trainer are both on record saying that they'd signed a contract for a Morrell fight, then backed down and hid and he fought inactive 160 lb Andrade instead.

When someone says something like that he usually means the opposite, "It would kill me, I'll never know what to do."
