The thing with this fight is Bivol better not slow down, if he cant do a Mayweather the last 4 rounds are going to be a nightmare for him, Beterbiev chops trees down until they cant resist and then they fall, he is a hard man to keep off for the full 12.
It isn't about the opponents artur is crowding/positioning them to the ropes and using throwaway short punches to distract and set up the back of the head shot because it's taking the opponents legs away 9/10 times.

I can't really call the bivol/beterbiev fight at the moment I wasn't impressed with bivol last time out his legs have slowed hardly used pendulum step footwork and his timing on punches was off for most of the fight. He looked hurt to the body during the latter part of the fight forget which round but Arthur isn't world class bivol should have wiped the floor with him. I think beterbiev slightly edges it based off last performances, although the form bivol had versus canelo would probably win him a tough close fight with beter he'd land slightly more and get hit slightly less. Now I'm not so sure.

Why are you guys so high on Zepeda? Who has he beaten to make you think he's special? I'm curious.

Imo he's not that special aside from cardio. Fun to watch and LOTS of volume and pressure, but also there to be hit. That's also why his matchmakers haven't matched him against real KO specialists. Best wins probably faded former champs Rene Alvarado and JoJo Diaz, and maybe his latest stoppage of title challenger Mercito Gesta.

I think the sheer volume he throws and that he seems to have the cardio to sustain it lead to a lot of hype. He holds the lightweight record for most punches thrown IIRC, and was averaging 100+ per round in his last fight.

        Also isn't Vaquero Navarrete?

He said he signed the contract in the post fight Lyndon Arthur interview. His end is done.,,Eddie Hearn confirmed it after the fight last Saturday.

I'm sorry. My response was to the Beterbiev quote.

I’m just impressed by his punch output, and so far his chin has held up albeit maybe hasn’t gotten tested by a big puncher just yet, but a high volume brawler with a good tank and with a chin is a problem for anyone and any style

Vaquero is an action fighter who tends to throw with meaner intentions. That kid at 126 who beat Ramirez is one I'm most interested in seeing.
