Bivol has signed his own contract for the fight. That's how Saudi deals work, as explained here.

Could be the case as history does show what your saying to be true, however, I highly doubt he is ducking shakur. Plus, the fight with shrimp and vaquero is way more interesting, in my opinion, then vaquero and shakur…. By far. Has FOTY potential

Bivol already signed on for it, and it's the only big money fight out there for Beterbiev, and at 39 it's now or never. Arum's on record as saying 3 months after Ramadan, and I fully expect that's how it will go. There's nothing else out there that's going to pay them anywhere near as much as this, particularly because Beterbiev is ******, and the Saudi's would more than likely pay Beterbiev an exceptional amount of money for the chance to crown a ****** unified champion in Saudi Arabia. And If you remember at the end of the Smith fight, Beterbiev said "Allah Akbar", which is something I've never heard him say before in spite of him being religious. I can't help but think it was said to entice the Saudis, and wouldn't be surprised if Arum told him to do it. Arum will use the time to get the most out of this. Expect this to happen this summer.

I've never heard Bivol say he was fighting Beterbiev next. I'm certain that he's been aiming for undisputed but there hasn't been one single time that he's said "Beterbiev is next".

Beterbiev is not completely honest here. Both guys had no intention of fighting each other because there was no money on the table for this fight.

Hopefully Saudis give them that bag.

                  Just waiting on you, Beterbiev.

Your promoter Bob Arum says 3 months after Ramadan? Why so long?

gotta hop on a proper cycle.

Bivol has indeed been calling Beterbiev out since before 2019. Also accurate that nobody was going to pay what Beterbiev wanted. Also fact that Bob Arum has been on record numerous times refusing to make the fight. Fact that Bivol joined DAZN as reported Jan 15, 2019, and Beterbiev was reported as leaving DAZN for Top Rank on... Jan 15, 2019.

Also fact that Bivol has signed the contract. I think the fight happens. Neither guy is ever going to get this kind of money again unless they take this fight, win, and get offered more by the Saudis. But if it doesn't, the fault will surely lie with the guy who didn't sign.

Make of it what you will. I think this fight is a few years too late, but I'm glad the Saudis are paying out the nose for the best fights.
