If he really is a free agent, he should be talking to Tszyu or Charlo. Unless he thinks he's going to win the Canelo sweepstakes. Spence is going to be on the shelf for awhile.

Bud I got much love for you. I been a fan since early in ur career when u had dreads lol. I agree ppl been running scared for years, making up excuses that only applied to u, saying u ain't fought no one while being unwilling to fight u themselves, saying u was on the wrong side of the street, that u can't sell flies, can't put asses in seats, talking that A-side, B-side hoe sh..t, saying there's no $ in a fight with u, and the list goes on. All any of that BS actually meant was that these dudes didn't want to fight u. We all understand that now, even the ones who didn't understand that b4. I agree with everything u said, right up until the end of the article where u said u never turned down any fight. Boots Ennis was Errol's mandatory, and Errol wouldn't face him. He became ur mandatory and u won't face him, so he was awarded one of ur belts. U say he's an email champ, and this hurts me bad as a fan, because this is the exact same sh.t everyone else did to u for years and years and years and fu..ked ur whole career up, tried to age u out. And now ur doing the same shh.t to Boots by being unwilling to face him. And u know damned well he's worthy of facing u. Ur a pugilistic scientist, u know this sport better than anyone. Well said! I remember how Spence was complaining how Thurman ducked him, and then he treated Boots the same way! I hate that "email Champ BS," because he was chasing the guy with 3 belts for years! Then Crawford steps in, and overnight, he's the "Undisputed" WW Champion of the world! Now Boots can't even get a shot! People keep saying Crawford will whoop Boots, but that's besides point! Boots deserves a shot, win, lose or draw! Bud needs to MAN UP!!!

Spence is out of commission. I would like to see Crawford fight JMW Charlo or defend against Boots.

I don’t think he or the sport benefits from him waiting until Spence heals to fight again.

I think there are stipulations when the fight has to happen which from what was reported, it needed to happen before end of 2023 unless both camps agree otherwise and extenuating circumstances. I don't think it is as simple as been kept in limbo if he isn't a willing participant. I think he just isn't motivated for another fight that isn't of that caliber so instead of taking that risk, he's content to just sit around and wait for it.

Let's not forget also that both fighters are used to fighting once a year for the last 4 years. So it's not hard to understand why they're in no rush to go back in the ring.

But Crawford can't make the rematch as an excuse why he can't take other fights. Not his fault why it hasn't happened. Some fans want him to fight Boots. That is entirely up to him.

Crawford vs Boots might do better than a Spence rematch. Everybody knows what they saw in the first fight. Thinking Spence can turn it around is wishful thinking. If Crawford can't get a Charlo, Canelo. or Tszyu fight, why not Boots? Who else is he going to fight?

Way I see it there's not really big super fights out there for Crawford that's why hes trying to call out canelo because thats the ride of into the sunset payday he wants. But fights with Teo,Boots,Haney etc are still really good fights but they ain't gonna make him canelo money obviously but I think he can still earn some pretty good money because he'll be the Aside going into them obviously the Errol rematch is there and its contracted but do people really wanna see that because of how one sided it was. Ofc your gonna fans saying Errol wasnt right and he'll be better at 154 (even tho I just think Crawford is a style nightmare for him regardless). But he's gotta make decision soon on what he wants to do

The original contract stated that the rematch had to take place by the end of December 2023, but Bud is too real to deprive Spence the opportunity to avenge his only loss. Spence holding up the division got Bud stripped of the IBF, has Bud missing out on furthering his legacy and huge paydays north of '47, has the rest of the division inactive waiting for the belts to become available again, etc.

It's sad that Spence is still a mess and Bud continues to suffer for it.

If that's true Bud really needs to get a move on and try to organise a fight with Tszyu or Charlo.
It's been nearly 6 months since he was in the ring and he can't stay so inactive at his age.
