Comments Thread For: Crawford Responds to Errol Spence Injury: 'Last I Can Recall We Definitely Get Our Eyes Checked Before Every Fight'

Terence Crawford couldn't help but scoff at what he feels is another excuse from Errol Spence Jr. The unified welterweight champion from Omaha, Nebraska, responded to Spence's insistence made earlier this week that his vision was impaired during their undisputed 147-pound championship last summer, which Crawford won by

Bud unfortunately hasn't got a Leonard , Duran or Hearns to test him. Enis might be a start.

Crawford trying to play it off like he didn't know Spence had all these injuries and like he didn't wait until Spence was a wounded gazelle before he even considered this fight....

The original contract stated that the rematch had to take place by the end of December 2023, but Bud is too real to deprive Spence the opportunity to avenge his only loss. Spence holding up the division got Bud stripped of the IBF, has Bud missing out on furthering his legacy and huge paydays north of '47, has the rest of the division inactive waiting for the belts to become available again, etc.

It's sad that Spence is still a mess and Bud continues to suffer for it.

To most people it looked like Spence stayed too long at welter. Also, Crawford also can't deny that Spence has been through the ringer with car wrecks, eye operations, etc. Not taking anything away from Crawford--just be real.

The wheelchair is a nice touch. Perhaps the addition of a neck brace would have been the chef's kiss to illustrate the fact that he was an injured fighter going into the Spence fight.

Spence got beat down comprehensively and stopped. We didn't hear these excuses prior to the fight and we wouldn't have heard them had he won.

There you go , spoken truthfully
Maybe for the rematch , he can do his ring walk in the wheelchair so we all know what to expect when Bud gives him his next L
It’s unreal how gullible boxing fans are and then they make it personal , like they are the ones going through the fughin ringer

2 things can be true. Spence can have health issues, but he lost because Crawford is the better fighter. That said, Bud needs to stop acting like he defeated Tommy Hearns.

You got Ennis and Teo calling you out. Talk your ish and put them on notice! Challenge 1 or both of them to sack up and meet you in the ring, foo.

This isn't rocket science. I see what Arum was talking about.

Sell yourself and help sell the f'n fights!

I can reason with him on the Spence part and the legion of excuses but as for the last part, nobody give a damn if you fought one more time or none at all. Talking like you are some earth shaking marketable fighter who is doing us a favor. It's been the same self entitled overinflated ego and self worth that's has led to majority of his career inactivity. I 'll love to see you fight but if you don't, good riddance.

With the rematch on the mend, it's not like you are talking about fighting anybody now anyways. Other than enjoyment, we don't get paid from your fights so why act like you are doing us a favor. Fans are what they are, they can be fanatic but remember, they help afford that lifestyle of yours as well. What a fool.
