He never was fighting him next.

That’s what Boots meant when he tweeted at Crawford and said, “that sh.t you pulled see thru”.

I'm sure the majority of fans would rather not take sides on this. They could care less who is ducking who. I'm sure they'll watch the fight if it happens. I for one have zero objection in getting it made. Just don't know who is going to fund this fight. (Would have to wonder how much would be Bud Crawford's asking price for it.)

      Yeah, make it happen!

what exactly does a fight with Ennis have to offer?

Crawford already achieved undisputed at 147. Ennis doesn't bring fame nor money. For a 35 year old, with not a lot more time at the top, 154 offers a lot more to achieve and a lot more money.

        So, why fight Ennis??

He should fight Ennis because he'd likely win, adding a prime name to his resume and futher silencing his critics.

Boots footwork is awful in comparison. Bud could walk him into shots all night.

I can say, I had a blast watching every fight of his career from their forward. I just wish there were more guys out there like that, but like I said, that's a bygone era.
I recently read the Ring piece on Carlos Monzon. Best fighter of my lifetime. He didn't lose in his final 80 bouts. He fought everyone by going at it seven or eight times a year.

I can't get excited about inactive fighters. People need to stop talking about them. This site needs to stop writing articles about them.

Write something that is of real interest that fits with the time. Write about the status of the Spence-Crawford rematch. Is it forever be a blank date or what? Why talk about Ennis when the rematch is not settled yet? It's pointless.

Fair points. Well, to me there has to be some kind of karma into this. I doubt anti-Bud, pro-Ennis fans would be getting any real benefit in portraying this Bud is ducking Ennis narrative. First of all I don't think it will ever happen, anyways. Regular folks also doubt Ennis even want this fight. The realistic part is the onus is still on Ennis to stay active. The longer it takes to make his next fight, the more outrage he gets from real fans.

If Boots is really serious about Bud, he can do more than just tweet. He can take a page out of Lara, Andrade's, etc. book by stalking Crawford. Lara made himself look like a fool standing beside Canelo in his post fight presscon, Andrade got humiliated not even once by following guys he wanted. And there were many others, not only in boxing. There were MMA guys, heck even fake wrestling has it's share of that and in itself has entertainment value. It's the nature of the sport. You want to whup someone's ass, go to his presscons, confront him, do something. Otherwise, there's really nothing to look forward to that would come out of these articles.

Forget Ennis and 147. Undisputed at 154 would be good but don't know if the $$$ is there? Get a title or two at 154, even 160, then maybe try Canelo to retire on??

Ennis is too timid to do such things. He'd rather just wait around and be handed a fight on a silver platter. He still young doe.

Once the excuse makin, one eyed Willie, I mean Errol heals, he needs to hurry tf up and do the rematch. If he keeps taking forever, Bud should sue to get out the fight NOBODY wants and handle biz at 146, if he stays there or move up to 154 as he's said prior. Spence and Al over here fcukin with Buds career. Fcuk em both. At this point I hope Bud breaks both of Errls eyes so he needs surgery again.
