I can't wait to see Matias take on one of these big name opponents to see what he can do. I just hope my fear of him being easily outboxed doesn't come true. I know he gets to most of his opponents, but a lot of them elect to trade with him which plays into his hands. If you get a guy who doesn't mind stinking out the joint and staying with the jab in Matias face all night, I think it'll be a boring UD decision where Matias looks super basic. I hope he can prove me wrong though because I love his style.

You will be proven correct I believe sooner than later, this isn't going to go on forever where he just eats punches, comes forward, and swamps his opponent with volume.

We've seen this movie before and the ending will never change no matter how many remakes we have every decade.

Matias will never be a Beterbiev, Artur does box and does so many subtle things that casuals can't pick up. He doesn't get hit as much as one would think, uses his arms and gloves a lot and pressures with a high IQ.

I have not seen too much of Matias but I think he is more of a brawler who takes a few to deliver a few.

Anyway, as I said, I want to see all the good fights.

Matias actually has a very good jab and boxing skills. Ergashev and Ponce only landed 18% and 21% against Matias, two fighters who are far from bums. Beterviev is elite, but Matias replicates his style more than anyone not named Benavidez. If Matias relied solely on brawling, he would come out swinging 1st round. He doesn't. He's methodical about his pressure.

Umm, I did my time in the ring. Too old now. I’ve known enough boxers to know that just cause you box don’t mean your any good at it or comprehend how to win. Most boxers are dumb. You don’t sound quite as smart as them.

Nothing to see here. These fights are not big enough to be jointly promoted by PBC and non-PBC. Only Romero is Matias' stable mate. Don't know if Teo, Haney, Garcia would want to be B-side to Matias and fight on PBC platform. Unless Matias would be willing to fight on the other street's platform. Barroso vs Matias would be a good scrap. Same PBC fighters.
