I don't think Callum Smith wins but I wouldn't be surprised if the declining Beterviev is dropped, he has done so with lesser opposition during his prime. (2 or 3 times I think? By Jeff Page and Callum Johnson as far as I am aware.)

You like to pretend that you know who I’d pick but you don’t know shyt. You tried to bet with me just once and you only wanted to bet that canelo would last 12. What a pu$$y bet….very fitting for a puss boy such as yourself.

It doesn't matter Canelo won and went 12 rounds so your WRONG again like ALWAYS.

So again remind me why you can't fly? Can't get your PO to sign off? Yoo're probably on a Sex Offender List.... You do give off creepy vibes.

          1. We both know he got a gift that first fight and even in the 2nd fight. And it’s “you’re “ ya fkn ret@rd.

          2. I fly all the time. Don’t deflect because you were too pu$$y to back up your words and want to try and salvage some dignity. And your constant references of sex offenders is only you projecting your phaggit ways onto others. You can mention your imaginary vibe comments all you want but everything I’m stating about you is based on Facts. You’re a degenerate ******** cornball, you lost your wife as a result, she fooked another guy in your face as a result, you got another chic and she kicked you out of your own spot, and you said you were going to spar, asked for a catchweight like the puss you are and in even more pu$$y fashion, you backed out. All facts. Ya fkn h0m0.

You need to read my comment a little more carefully. The comparison being made by others was how Smith performed against Canelo against how he is likely to fight against Beterbiev. My point was Canelo back then was hitting hard as was evidenced by Saunders’ smashed face and Plant’s capitulation, there’s no dis*****g that. Beterbiev is 39 and his fight against Yarde was a tough one whichever way you look at it. All fighters decline at some point.

My opinion is that will to some extent catch up with him and I expected Smith to do a lot better than people think. I suggest you rewatch the Yarde fight and take note of quite how much success Yarde had. He connected more on Beterbiev than anyone else I can remember and Beterbiev backed off a number of times after being caught. Some may have been deliberate traps as you suggest, but some most definitely were not. Everyone is human and he’s never been the most elusive fighter. That catches up with everyone eventually and who knows when a younger fighter with quicker reactions will be able to exploit that.

You’re only as good as your last fight and the Yarde fight was a lot tougher than expected.

Yarde had a lot going for him

              Fast explosive fighter
              Powerful
              Natural power puncher and brawler
              Home fighter
              Crowd behind him
Referee and judges in Warren's pocket

His confidence would have been high as a result

              Plus styles make fights

Remember how awful Beterbiev looked against Koelling and Dienes but he finished strong.
Then in his next fight(s) he looked awful again

He is also trained by a world expert in Andre Kulesza so they can measure any drop off in performance and compensate accordingly

if I see two or three fights in a row where I see him struggling then I will say he is done at this level and probably needs to hang them up before someone who he would have battered only a few years ago KOs him

Not sure quite how much you can read into that but at the end of the day he went 12 rounds with a peak Canelo who then went on to obliterate Saunders and Plant. Not entirely sure if an aging Beterbiev punches harder than a prime Canelo. Haven’t seen Beterbiev break any orbital bones recently as Canelo did against Saunders. Stating Beterbiev punches harder at this point is a fairly shakey opinion.

The other thing being overlooked is quite how much punishment Beterbiev took against Yarde. Yes he won but he shipped a lot of punches and did visibly get wobbled a couple of time. Personally I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he ages overnight after that fight but we’ll see at the weekend I guess.

I think Smith is likely to do a lot better than most on here are expecting much the same as Yarde did.
I'm sorry but that's not an indication of anything power related breaking an orbital. Donaire broke inoues orbital in fight one are you saying donaire has more power than beterbiev?

I really used to believe in Callum Smith until that Canelo fight.

I don't know about him. His arm exploded getting punched by Canelo. You can't convince me that Canelo is a bigger puncher than Beterbiev.

                      Don't see it happening.

Unless in the canelo fight he was literally paid not to try, I'd be surprised to see him have more than a modicum of success here.
