  • Tony was paid off. He wanted to stop the fight as soon as he stepped in. I can understand if the guy got hurt or dropped multiple times first

Was looking forward to some good action, left disappointed but still wanting more hoping for better next time and it makes me wonder...

Do you think women feel the way we do about fights being stopped prematurely when we finish quick?

      • I love Ortiz but it was stopped too soon. Weeks always effen up .

        • I have met Tony Weeks and he seems like a good dude but he blew it tonight. The ending was inevitable but not enough head shots landed for a stoppage!

          • Shocking stoppage. And this is a 160 lbs fight not 154 btw

              • Phony Weeks should be investigated. Ortiz Jr. vs. Tszyu sounds good.

What a dumb statement saying Ortiz is overrated. Let me guess, you like Boots, right? He is overrated !!!!!!!!!!!

                    • Nowadays Jack Reiss seems to be the best ref that we consistently see on these big cards. I’m not sure if I’ve seen a major blunder from him yet.

I referee amateur boxing, so I can attest that people don’t really understand how tough a job it is, but that was a weird stoppage. It was going to be a short night either way but c’mon.
