  • They must have weight up the IBF route path with Hrgovic, and decided beating Ngnannou better than Fury did will build that fight and the likelihood Fury would face him.

Could turn out to be clever.

He's got tape on Ngannou, should beat him matching his strength and power, and under Davidson part of me believes a mentally focused aggressive Joshua could beat them all.

He might, he knows he's in with a strong fighter with size and power so I think he'll play it safe.

      • I told you all he would fight Ngannou. It's all about $$ and he wants no part of Hrgovic or Zhang unless a title is on the line.

Sh^t it goes beyond Wilder. I think the only ppl who'll have fought both Fury & AJ are Whyte & Wallin.

          • Joshua should fight a legit contender, not UFC bum. Sanchez, Hrgovic, Kabayel, Zhang, al great fights. If not Hrgovic, that still makes the other three left.

I don`t buy logic "oh yeah, Joshua beats all other guys, so it is ok if he fight Ngannou". It is ****** Fury hardcores logic.

Joshua is becoming Fury 2 at this point.

            • What more can one say? Maybe we should focus on the undercards since it involves Saudi money
Which fights will make the card interesting? Would like to see Wilder v Whyte (if he's available)

So pathetic. Hearn needs Zhang`s and Hrgovic`s name to sell this garbage.
Hearn did the same thing with one of Benn's fights. I remember he announced several impressive names then slipped in a name like Algieri or Van Heerden and sure enough it was the shopworn, inactive vet that was ultimately fed to Conor.

I don't think that's the logic at all.

Joshua doesn't have to 'defend' against the other guys. He's got nothing to defend.

Fury fought Ngannou as a world champion fighting an unranked guy with no professional boxing experience. It shouldn't have been allowed.

Joshua is absolutely entitled to take the biggest money fight available.

Personally, I don't like it. I'd rather see the division bring resolved rather than this sideshow, but no-one can argue that it wasn't Fury and his team who caused this situation. Ngannou does need to be battered for the sake of boxing. And if that happens, Fury's position will be heavily questioned.

Could still do both if AJ fights 3 times again this year.

Ngannou first while the IBF situation plays out from Fury-Usyk 1 and then Hrgovic if it becomes available while the likely Fury-Usyk rematch happens.

If things go as Hearn will hope then Fury-AJ towards the end of 2024/ early 2025.

I think it's smart matchmaking honestly. They're trying to set up a potential Fury fight. Talk of Sanchez or Zhang are fantasy while they bring nothing but a risky challenge to the table. AJ gains nothing from beating them other than briefly appeasing a few haters who will just find something else to complain about instead. Zhang would become old if he loses or Sanchez too inexperienced
