Abdul the only fighter expected to jump up and down weight classes. And he has fight them at their preferred weight or he's "cheating". Why don't you people expect Haney to move down for the fight when Abdul is the man in the drivers seat?

tank is not a real fighter. he had so many chances to make real fights and always refused. now hes going to play a-side boy the rest of his career to make sure no real fights get made. tank and haney were at 135 for years and years and never fought. they certainly will not figtht now.charliepaerker likes this.

That fight will never happen. If you look at Devin Haney these days, he's walking around at 190. He really lets himself go between fights (which will probably lead to his first loss). Davis will not fight someone who comes into the ring nearly 170 pounds. He will put a rehydration clause as a must for the fight, and Haney will not sign off on that. Tank would very likely beat him if that were the case. Likewise, it would be a struggle for Tank to win if Devin is 165-170 in the ring because he'll be able to withstand and recover from Tank's punches and have a good chance in getting a decision.
Aside from that, there would likely be a dispute in the percentages of the split. There's no way Tank would do a 50/50 with Devin when he's the one bring in all the eyeballs. It's apparent now that Loma brought in the 175,000 PPV buys for the undisputed fight. Recently, Haney - Regis numbers were unofficially released and it was less than 50,000. I think it did about 35,000 buys. That's ridiculously low but likely true. Haney will not sign for a 20 percent split, which is what Tank will push.
Bottom line is that there are so many obstacles to making this fight that it will never be made. The only fighting you'll see from these guys is on Twitter/X.

Is Tank Davis ever going to fight ANYONE ranked top 10 without rehydration clauses etc? I doubt it, personally. He seems like the goods, but also seems happy to blow his entire career avoiding top competition.
