I dont know if everyone here read the article (as opposed to just the headline).

Atlas was very effusive in his praise of Tyson, and described many ways he was great. But said his definition of greatness requires you to win those fights that are difficult. In a sense penalizing Tyson for being so dominant at his peak.

Maybe he is just holding a grudge, but it didnt seem to be so much negative

Atlas is losing it. A prime Tyson was a physical specimen and a monster in the ring. His problems were mental, not physical and the deck was stacked against him on purpose. Tyson could have been nearly unbeatable with the right guidance and mindset. Sex, drugs, money and power did him in and I suspect most of that was on purpose because he was wrecking the ******** industry. You can't be a sure thing and go up against Don Kingpin.

Disclaimer: I didn't bother to read the article, but I was aware of Atlas' history with Tyson, in reference to his niece.

Goddamn Teddy! Shit! Can you at least bury the hatchet for just once in your life with Mike Tyson. Let it go already! Has he repented and apologized enough for all the mistakes he has made in his life? Perhaps you should do the same.

Tyson was overrated POS. Nowhere near top 10 HW ATG and 100 P4P ATG.
Neither is the guy in your avatar. In fact, I rate Tyson over him by quite a bit.

Yeah! One can easily sense that he is still bitter with both Cus D'mato and Mike Tyson. He never had the chance to relish in any of Mike Tyson's successes and as a result of it really burns him. He is still jealous of Mike Tyson

That’s the background story in case anyone doesn’t know.
You are absolutely right but that was more than 40 years ago. Mike Tyson has since both apologized and repented personally to him for it. So now is the time for Atlas to let bygones be bygones.

The man is damn near 70 years old for heaven's sake. Is he going to carry this grudge around with him forever? Mike Tyson success inside of the professional boxing ring without him.

Has left him feeling both betrayed, brokenhearted, jealous and bitter.

Balls the size of an elephant but he might have been a cruiser at those ages. So might not of had a chance.
Holyfield might’ve always had Mike’s number, but I’ve always maintained that pre-prison Tyson would’ve emerged victorious. A shame we’ll never know for sure. Tyson came up in an era where there were few challenges to his absolute peak. But, man, was he fun to watch. As a lifelong boxing fan, I was lucky enough to see it as Mike’s career unfolded. It’s just not the same on video. Dude was electrifying.
