In 147, Crawford vs Boots will be better than almost anything in that range but the chances seem slim it occurs. 147 Boots vs Stanionis isn't bad but not exactly a ****er among the big names. 147 Crawford vs Spence II is a full blown waste of time before it happens so doesn't matter (154 will be a hair better but even then...).

In 140, Haney/Teo will be better fight no doubt, but I'm not going to bet a life saving that it is likely to happen next year. Teo vs anyone not named Haney...not the worst thing, but depends on the opponent. Rolly vs Garcia? Err...sure, whatever.

In 135, Tank fighting Shakur or Haney/Teo at 140...very unlikely to happen so might as well not even thing about it. Tank vs Cruz II at 135 is worse than Haney/Garcia by de facto. I love Loma but Loma vs Kambosos isn't really worth that much more than that it is for a vacant belt. Unification fight with Shakur vs Loma will be absolutely wonderful but also in my wishlist that I won't bank money on.

...So yes, Haney vs Garcia actually might be the best of the disappointments that may happen next year...*sigh*
Isn't Teo - Matias being discussed?

Didn't know that. If it happens that will be one of the best of the year IMO.

      ...If it happens, crossing fingers.

I don’t see this fight happening but in fairness, I said the exact same about Tank-Garcia and was happily proven wrong.

If he considers his son P4P I'd think it is more likely for him to push for this fight to happen, only because name value (aka money) wise Garcia is one of, if not the best guy in 140 while being a significantly weaker opponent than Teo or Matias.

I mean I doubt even the biggest haters of Haney truly expects Garcia to be able to win against Devin.

This fight will be close. Styles make fights and Ryan and Haney have styles that will make for a closer than expected outcome IMO. Haney wins like 8-4,7-5 but goes through some trouble along the way. Ryan makes the same mistakes over and over but he's not without some good qualities that can make Haney think twice about letting his hands go a bunch

Haney won’t have problems unless he gets caught coming in
I agree that Ryan brings money and fame but Bill has been calling out anybody possible
Wouldn’t be surprised if they 360 and go another way is my point
Although he benefits tremendously from this fight

Why not? Haney gets a nice payday. Garcia seems confident and willing to make big fights. They fought in the amateurs so both guys will feel like they know their opponent.

I'd rather see Ryan vs Rolly, that would certainly be a more entertaining fight.

Romero ran all night against a 40 yr old guy Barroso. He'll run twice as fast in the Garcia fight. It will be 10x boring. But don't worry, it will happen sometime next year.
