This is really impressive from Ryan.

They could have got him to fight Rolly Romero for an easy strap.

Haney isn't going to add a ton to the PPV buys and will be a huge favorite.

Why would you possibly rather see Rolly? He sucks.

Anyone else out there trying to make a fight with Haney? Seems only Ryan Garcia is interested.

Is Tank vs Haney really that far from happening? If Tank/Haney is not happening early, it will never happen. Haney will be fighting at 147 sooner than expected.

I thought Eddie had matching rights? The way Eddie acted at the post-fight presser with Devin suggested to me he's invested in Devin still to some degree.

I'd assume if it makes sense for him he'll be involved & if it doesn't he won't tho. I don't think he'd make problems with the fight happening when its a big fight that'll make all parties money.

            How does "matching rights" work?

Generally it'd work like lets say if Devin got offered $3M to fight x from some other promoter than Eddie could say he'll match the $3M offer so Devin would need to do that fight with Eddie since Eddie matched it. If Eddie declined than Devin would do the fight with whoever the initial offer was from.

I won't pretend to know all the matching details when its a PPV fight vs a specific boxer with another promoter & there are guarantees & % of the revenue from buys & gate or all the other income sources that may or may not be involved in play, but the above is an example of the basic process.

That would only work if Ryan Garcia is a free agent. He's still signed with/to GBP.

Eddie is just trying to get in on Devin's side not Ryan's side in this. Ryan's money ain't got sh^t to do with Eddie in a co-promotion.
