Second, you putting Wallin on the same level as De Mori. He was ranked No2 by the IBF.

De Mori was ranked nowhere by anybody
Wallin ranked No2 shows what a joke IBF is. It's a trash belt that if it gets stripped won't make a Fury/Usyk rematch a unified fight.

Whoever wins Usyk/Fury 1 will be undisputed, undefeated, unified champ!

The loser has a loss on their record.

If the IBF belt gets stripped and Fury/Usyk 2 activated, the winner won't be undisputed unified and undefeated.

So why would the winner of Usyk/Fury 1 agree to rematch ? Why wouldn't they retire undefeated, undisputed, screw any contract and claim a career ending injury.

How does scattering all the belts affect the overall alphabet orgs landscape ?

If all the belts became available at once, would AJ still want to fight Hrgovic for the IBF one ?

    • Wilder is unintentionally hilarious. I really hope he doesn't retire

Because they would be paid a huge purse for the rematch and if they lost it they would be paid another huge for a trilogy rubber match.

And if they did decide to walk away from all that money, why would that mean AJ couldn't fight Hrgovic for the vacant IBF title?

Forget the money. Those guys have intergenerational wealth already. At some point it becomes about Legacy.

To retire undefeated, undisputed unified heavyweight champion of the world is priceless. Thats a claim for the ages and will never be repeated for either the winner or loser.

I can't see Usyk or Fury risking those bragging rights for a rematch where, without the IBF belt, it wouldn't be true.
