Because he's a typical promoter and Wilder still got lots of deluded fans like you. You can say the same thing with Wilder and fans like you. You people kept saying AJ is done, not elite, etc., yet you still want the fight to happen. For what, exactly?

And just weeks ago weren't you people saying Hearn was blocking the fight from happening? Now you're admitting it's not true. Make up your minds people.

Is he really a big puncher though, most of his career was fighting light heavy and cruiserweights, he didn't start fighting career heavys till his 28th fight...

And guys like Duhaupas who's chinny never got hurt or dropped by him, Fury who's also chinny but good powers of recovery he couldn't keep down and he didn't hurt Parker not once and when Ortiz wasn't aged out further than he already was he had to club him to the neck and back of the head to win (not only Ortiz mind you, he always does it)...

His "power" is a myth that's been built on crushing cans most people think he's dropped ever opponent he's faced, that's a lie.

But then again some people thought Fury was the first person to drop him, that's also a lie...

True, Ortiz was the best contender he fought and he was almost knocked out in the first fight with him. He's just a guy with a big punch

Wait, who’s the elite hw AJ has beaten? Please don’t come to me with 40 yr old Klitchko coming off a loss and year and a half of inactivity. The only elite heavyweights of this generation are Fury and Usyk.

Lmao wilder hadn’t fought in 2 years smh. It was a typical wilder fight minus the one punch come from behind win. Both fights with Ortiz he was losing all 3 fights with fury he was behind the whole time wilder has never been a great technician that piles up rounds he’s a one trick pony. I think the inactivity hurt him but let’s not act like this is so far from the norm it was a typical wilder fight from what I could see

its all water under the bridge, pure speculation, AJ and wilder never fought when they should have done, so noone knows how that fight would have gone, fury generally has better movement than AJ so id say wilder would have caught him at some stage, AJ would also have caught wilder too

Hearn is wrong, Wilder went life and death b4 beating the 45yo cuban twice.

AJ is definitely much more battle tested and proven but I dont know if you can really say hes "leagues above" Wilder. Hes more skilled but hes not some boxing wizard nor does he have an iron chin, the guys been hurt loads by worse and nowhere near as hard hitting fighters as Wilder.

                    Fury elite?
The guy who’s only notable and best win is beating the guy everyone is ****ting on this website right this moment and who went life and death with a 40 year old MMA fighter with a 0-0 boxing record is one of the only elite heavyweights?

                    Please!

Eddie isn’t lying, but I still think wilder sparks AJ
