fight oscar for 12 million or fight any 135 lbs for 20% of that....pretty hard decision for pacman...

im sure manny & roach were looking at other fights with the other 135 pounders but threw the bait at oscar for a fight. and when cotto lost to marg, oscar took the bait and we all know what happen

But Pacman never did. He had the chance to fight Guzman or Campbell. Pacman was dead scared of these guys.

Pacman ducked 140 and 135, to fight weight drained Oscar. Simply, there were 3 slick boxers who would have schooled him. Guzman,Campbell and Bradley.
Good question and a valid one. Didn't even know that Diaz was a tune up fight. But he did fight Hatton at 140lbs who was undefeated at 140lbs. So do you honestly think that Manny is scared at those guys at 135lbs and yet he's about to fight one of the top Welterweights at 145lbs who demolished Mosley and Judah and took a beating from Margarito and also someone that Floyd has been ducking and is scared **** of. Does that make any sense to you, i mean really now, think, just try it but don't hurt yourself.

No one should by pass a De La Hoya fight. He had nothing to lose. De La hoya is who made Floyd famous and he did the same for Pacquiao. D. Diaz was a good challenge just one lost before fighting Pacquiao.

hey , der der. you do realize that whatever they had planned went out the window when floyd pulled out of the delahoya fight right?

when floyd pulled out , delahoya needed to look for another opponent. he wanted hatton. hatton wanted the malignaggi fight first and planned to fight delahoya afterwards.

delahoya then picked pacquiao. when pacquiao won , hatton ended up fighting pacquiao instead of delahoya after malignaggi.

blame mayweather , delahoya and hatton.
