How EXACTLY was David Diaz a tune-up for Pacman

People claim David "bum" Diaz was a tune up for Pacman at 135. If Diaz was a tune-up, that would suggest Pacman was planning to fight someone else at 135.

But Pacman never did. He had the chance to fight Guzman or Campbell. Pacman was dead scared of these guys.

Pacman ducked 140 and 135, to fight weight drained Oscar. Simply, there were 3 slick boxers who would have schooled him. Guzman,Campbell and Bradley.

Pac was supposed to face Valero last fall. And if that fell through, then Humberto Soto was the next option. But Margarito beat Cotto and spoiled DLH's plans of a Cotto matchup. DLH claimed he would fight the Cotto-Margarito winner, but he expected it to be Cotto. Rather than face Margarito, DLH cherrypicked LW Pac, expecting it to be an easy fight for big money. It isn't Pac's fault DLH killed himself making the weight.

        Nice way of rewriting history.

The plan was for Pacquiao to move up to 135 and take on the "easiest" champ in David Diaz. He was to stay in the division as there were a number of options there. But then came along oscar de la hoya and larry merchant, who had this crazy idea of fighting pacquiao. Enough money was on the table, pacquiao accepts, goes up in weight, beats oscar easily and the rest is history. No need to go from 147 back to 135. The logical thing to do was stay go to 140 and fight Ricky Hatton.

Those guys all share some characteristics that disqualify them from being an opponent for Pac.

              Characteristics of being unknowns?

seriously, Guzman had the best shot at fighting Pacquiao over a year ago but it fell through, and you cant really blame bob arum for not having Pac fight him.

What is this exactly? You consider Campbell a threat?
