But Pacman never did. He had the chance to fight Guzman or Campbell. Pacman was dead scared of these guys.

Pacman ducked 140 and 135, to fight weight drained Oscar. Simply, there were 3 slick boxers who would have schooled him. Guzman,Campbell and Bradley.
    Uh, no.

If you are lucky enough to get a fight w/ Oscar you take it. Simply because everyone knows he's the PPV king. No boxer in their right mind would turn him down. Pre-fight it was mostly seen as mismatch. So by that logic Pac moves up two weight divisions to duck fighters at 140 and 135?

I swear man this whole logic that Pac ducked fighters (your claim) at LW and JWW or ducked "slick" fighters is all just hate and non-sense.

-Believe me or not prior to De la hoya (weigh drained or not) it was actually more riskier going 2 more division after weighin in at 135 diaz and 130 with marquez w/in the same year. 140 wtf nate campbell? LOL that idiot who tried to showboat and got ktfo. What did he do really? He just lost to lorenzo, casamayor, peden at that time. O.o
....took the words out my mouth.

But then came along oscar de la hoya and larry merchant, who had this crazy idea of fighting pacquiao. Enough money was on the table, pacquiao accepts, goes up in weight, beats oscar easily and the rest is history. No need to go from 147 back to 135. The logical thing to do was stay go to 140 and fight Ricky Hatton.

diaz was a tune up for pac at 135 lbs in the same way that mitchell was a tune up for floyd at 147 lbs...

both were getting their feet wet...

Just like we did not know that RJJ coming down in weight was going to damage him, we didn't know that Oscar was going to ruin himself by becoming an anorexic to make 147.

                    The reality is that that Hatton @ 147 KO's Oscar @ 147*.

*Of course, the 2008 version of Oscar @ 147. Not prime.
