The board are definitely being petulant at this point, it’s essentially delaying tactics, but I’ve got no sympathy for Benn either. He chose to go down the litigation route assuming they’d bend over backwards like they did for Fury, Whyte etc. His spoilt brat mentality has cost him big time. This could’ve all been sorted by now I reckon.

But at this point, in fairness to him, he’s done the process asked of him from what I can see. I don’t understand the narrative that he hasn’t. Yeah it took him way longer than he should have being a child but he’s done all he can now.

He’s only not licensed right now because they’ve appealed the decision of the hearing.

He’s not suspended now. He should be clear to fight at that point and as soon as the BBBoC’s appeal is rejected then he will be.

He got cleared to fight when he won his hearing with UKAD and the NAPD and his suspension was lifted.

Now it’s under appeal but it’s petulant. The BBBoC know that their appeal is likely getting rejected.

When it gets rejected then he can fight. It’s a bad precedent to not respect the wishes of the commission that had jurisdiction over this.

It’s solely because it’s under an appeal. The hearing is done and they lost, they’re appealing out of spite more than anything at this point.

None of this changes the fact that he had a hearing that he won and his suspension was lifted.

The appeal process is still a part of the commission’s overall process. Other commissions should respect that so that their procedures get respected in return. Like Nevada and California did.
