Parker was under Kevin Barry at the time if I recall correctly. Barry never impressed me as a trainer but he's shown clear improvement under Andy Lee.Originally posted by NoConcoms View PostBoy, did Parker just expose Wilder. Where was this version of Parker when he fought AJ?

AJ is 3 times the boxer Wilder is, I said Parker a mth ago, Wilder cant box for sht then add 213lb and long off time the form said Parker, AJ is the best boxer of today's HWs.Originally posted by NoConcoms View PostBoy, did Parker just expose Wilder. I agree…Originally posted by kiDynamite92 View PostParker was just a bad stylistic match up for Wilder. Just like Joyce was a bad stylistic match up for Parker.
Parker is a fast, focused, well-conditioned Heavyweight and he’s elite defensively at the weight (Joyce had to push the pace and exhaust him before stopping him). He also came in with a great gameplan. He took center ring and stayed way out of range to have enough time to react to Wilder’s attacks until he was ready to attack.
Wilder’s always depended on his opponent wearing down over the course of the fight then stopping them (sharing the ring with an opponent that can turn your lights out with one shot can be draining by itself). Parker didn’t wear down until that last round and, in the end, it wasn’t enough to allow himself to get clipped.

^Yeah, he's evolved under Andy Lee, no doubt. This is a huge confidence builder for him. Stepping into the pocket with Wilder, and basically beating his ass is huge.Originally posted by PBR Streetgang View Post

Here's the real question tho; Is Wilder just shot? He looked *very* reluctant to pull the trigger.
