Morrell tko 2nd round...boy looks huge and Agbeko was a big guy. I could see Morrell move up to cruiser eventually, he's that big.

That was a thrashing. I don’t like to see anyone get pummeled. Agbeko didn’t belong in the same ring. Morrell is a monster, but he needs to bring his game up in steps. Fighting guys so well below his level won’t help at all. I know it’s not David’s fault — he fights who they put in front of him — but his handlers have to do a better job. This concerns me. You can’t be fighting Agbekos then suddenly fight a Benavidez.

      Top 25

He only fought with top-30 or worst
What we do know based on pedigree Morrell is probably better than this guy who went 22 rounds with Benavidez. Don't me Andrade who is not a puncher but an old `160 Haymon sold out in a shoebox

Fans; Morrell needs to fight someone
Fans also; Morrell isn't worthy of fighting Canelo or Benavidez

The problem with You guys from cuba, You have a Big mouth, always overrating his fighters.

Rafael Espinoza whoopped the a.s.s of Robeisy Ramirez.

          You need to be humbles.

Morrell has 0 wins against a guy of the level of Uzcátegui , imagine that, Even Uzcátegui or Dirrell were like 10 times better than. This african.

Morrell is not proven, and canelo career is better than all the cubans of this Century.

Shut up and learn about boxing. And be humble.

Espinoza.whoopped the ass off Robeisy , and You did not learn the lesson

We got a big mouth or we don't shy away from challenges? He didn't whoop his a$$, as a matter of fact it was a heck of a fight. I think we all enjoy it and proved that Cubans fighters are as exciting as any other fighters. The ginger can claim success on the side of business, a heck of a career, not on the side of quality boxers he faced, not on the level of Sanchez, Arguello, Duran, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Napoles, LM Rodriguez, José Legra, Kid Chocolate, Kid Gavilan and others. You need to learn your history son.
one question, if Morrell Jr were to fight uzcategui or direll would you put money on them or Morell jr?

Doesn’t have to be one extreme or the other. Just cause he can’t get the top money making stars, doesn’t mean he has to fight F level fighters. He’s going the Demetrius Andrade route right now. Calling out the absolute big names without putting in work with the mid to higher level fighters.

It seems he doesn’t really want that smoke with Dmitry Bivol, who Canelo Alvarez as a big star fought.

Looks to me like Morrell wants big fights handed to him like Andrade. Well like Andrade, he can wait until he’s 35 then.

Guy earned his mandatory shot nearly 3 years ago, and WBA won't enforce it because it's Canelo. What do you want the guy to do? Not like anyone is signing up to fight him. The lower ranked guys like Ryder ran from him. The higher ranked guys like Benavidez already claimed they signed to fight him and then backtracked for an easier opponent. You can't fight higher ranked guys if they won't fight you. Would you rather he sits inactive? The top guys won't fight him because he's too dangerous and they can earn an eventual shot way more easily fighting for vacant spots in title eliminators. The lower tier guys don't want to get brutally flattened.

He's sitting on the mandatory spot. Why aren't the other guys asking to fight him eh? Why are Mbilli and Shishkin still fighting eliminators? None of the former champions have so much as mentioned his name. Munguía already turned him down. Berlanga is sitting at #10 for Ring. Pacheco is in there as well. You see those guys calling him out? They claim they want to fight Canelo, and he's got the longest overdue shot. The ranked guys need to step up and sign on the line if you want him to get better opponents. Especially Mbilli. He's the next top ranked guy by the WBA and would have gotten the call before Agbeko. Why wasn't he in that fight?

You are saying he earned a mandatory shot 3 years ago and I'm looking at his record and thinking "HOW?"

This guy looks bigger than Bivol and Beterbiev too for that matter. The fighters at 168 aren't interested, they got sights on Canelo but if Morrell is such a destroyer, go to LHW.

Both statements are independently true, he needs to fight some worthy opponents and at the same time has done nothing to earn a shot at the highest rated contender for the undisputed 168lb title let alone the champion himself.

You're so easy to read. You comparing Morrell Jr to andrade, and there's no comparison. This kid is fighting boxers with winning record from the get go. No benavidez, canelo nor andrade faced the same competition in their first 10 fights that the Cuban has. You're not a fan, you're a groupie, real fans want to see real challenge not canelo vs 154 pounder or ryder, we don't want to se a career 154-160 fighter that has never face real competition fighting the #1 in the division, and you're critiquing a kid that wants to challenge himself, with an outstanding amateur pedigree. Tell me what is to hate on the kid? He ain't in bivols division, and the only reason canelo fought him was because he look like crap in his previous two fights, and he is not knockout artist, canelo didn't use his gps and made the wrong turn. Where you put your money if andrades vs DMJ fights gets made?
