You never know with how these corrupt belt orgs, specifically wbc and wba, hand out rankings like candy on halloween

I was largely speaking of the commissions like: Nevada, California and New York

Guerrero would probably be cleared, to be honest. He's old but he's only been stopped once in 47 fights and he's won his last 5 fights. Two were against other old men (Berto and Ortiz) and the other three were no-hopers, but still. Obviously Boots would wash him but Guerrero doesn't show a ton of wear. He's old and slow but he still seems to be all there cognitively, he can still take a shot, he still has balance.

Was actually a fun fight to watch during the times Berto wasn't holding on for dear life. Berto was an explosive fighter in his prime and he showed spurts here and there even at 40 but his biggest asset is extremely diminished and he can't handle the punches anymore he just needs to retire. Guerrero didn't look bad but he needs to stay away from Boots or any top guy at 147.

You are right. However, does it make it right that he could jump ahead of the queue based solely off his win against an old, diminished and past his prime Andre Berto or against legitimate contenders who have fought and defeated real competition?

Amazing to still see exchanges like this, more than 8 years on. It was a mediocre fight which allowed Mayweather to complete his 10-fight Showtime deal. Not great, not terrible, move on.

Those guys fought in spurts. Off balance a lot of times, bending the wrong way and holding when they were out of position which happened a lot.

At least they came to fight and this fight only proved who is more shot.
