So fighters like 'boots' and the fans alike should have to wait for a pointless money rematch to which we are not even sure when or what weight , Suliaman is no fan of our sport !

it was the right move. they should have stripped spence 2 years ago but they let him off the hook. "let me just unify with ugas" then "let me just unify with crawford". it was just too long.
having said that, ibf should have already stripped canelo and jermell.
for the record, i don't hate these fighters. they just simply hold on their belts for too long without EVER meaning to fight their mandatories (abdukakhorov, murtazaliev, ennis, scull). imagine if canelo fought william scull already instead of golovkin3 or ryder and it was the right thing to do (scull, benavidez or morrell). imagine the outrage. the same applies to jermell - murtazaliev and spence - ennis. how long should mandatories wait? 2 years was pretty long but 4 years now?! gtho. strip them all and force them to fight more.

Slagman is a hypocrite of the highest order. He is the one who has destroyed boxing by creating countless useless belts and allowing his champions to sit on the belts forever thereby stalling the progress of fighters who want to fight and make a living. So, in his corrupt mind this hypocrite thinks it's okay for Crawford not to show any intention to face Boots his mandatory? What a corrupt and shameless hypocrite. Boots rightly deserves the belt since Crawford apparently doesn't want the smoke.

Well said, bro. Some folks have seemingly lost their thinking faculty. Crawford doesn't show any interest or whatsoever to face Boots. I am a fan of both fighters because of their skills but I am totally against the trend of champions avoiding real challenge. Boots is the biggest challenge for Crawford at 147 and he knows it. How can you call yourself the champion but refuse to fight someone you know can dethrone you?

The IBF has clearly stated, transparent rules and sticks to them. Something Sulaiman is incapable of understanding.

IBF actually have some rules and they follow them.

WBC allowed Fury to defend his belts against Chisora just to get their fees.

Don't they have a year to fight their mando? 3 months is Jimmy John's fast....

No, you have to defend or unify, and you have to show intent to do either.

Spence had a fight booked with Pacquiao (then WBA) in 2021.

Spence got injured. Manny, instead of waiting to unify or fighting his mando (Ugas, who was interim/Regular) started chasing lightweight Cryan. WBA stripped him and elevated Ugas (same situation as Crawford now)

Spence fought Ugas (WBA) in 2022.

What some of you don’t understand is that it’s not just dates.

Crawford went on video, and so did Big Mac, refusing to fight the mandatory.

Interim champion literally means, if the current champion doesn’t fight you, then you will be made champion.

Sulaiman was adamant in insisting that sanctioning bodies do not benefit from stripping titles from the sport’s best fighters. Sulaiman said that was why his company devised its “Franchise Champion” designation in the first place, to give its top champions the flexibility to maintain their status.
And when he did that, NSB criticized it because they said it was to allow Canelo to duck mandatories. So it’s bad for Canelo to allegedly duck mandatories but not Crawford.
