Ward seems very bitter about his career among other things.

GGG didn’t duck Ward in a conventional manner. GGG was calling out JCC Jr and Carl Froch at 166-168lbs. When Ward said he would fight GGG at 168, team GGG lowered the catchweight for Ward worse than they did for Froch (166lbs). For Ward it was 164lbs.

This is essentially ducking because it was a catchweight they knew it was physically impossible for Ward to make.

But it was enough of an “offer”, that GGG and his fans can say “an offer was made and they said no.”

How sad of Ward to have been calling out a fighter 2 divisions below him because he can't sell out his hometown crowd.
I remember when Ward said he would come down to 160 while calling out Floyd, but he wouldn’t come down to 160 for GGG.

Idk why he's so bitter. He's crowned as a really great fighter in a shlt division, winning a mediocre tournament in the division, got great paydays from roc nation not knowing wtf they were doing, and a gift against a great fighter in kovalev.

He got accolades and paydays he doesn't deserve and yet the guy is still a bitter whiner.
        - - Didn't Roc go broke promoting him?

Kov beat him up first fight enough to have he sissy fans crying when he KDed.

AB is a fun, funny & likeable train wreck & thats why he did as well as he did despite sh^tting the bed in his biggest fights imo. But like it or not self promotion has become a hack to boxing success. Jake Paul being exhibit A. And winning & losing matters less than hardcore fans wanna believe when a boxer has ppl who are fans of that boxer over just being a fair weather boxing fan who'll drop off when you lose heat from an L or other reasons.

This is ultimately an asses in seats, ppv buys, tv ratings business. You can be a p4p guy, like Dre was, & not be worth as much as a guy far beneath you boxing talent-wise. These days especially, you need boxing talent AND social media skills to touch your ceiling in this business.

Its a shame Ward wasn't regarded as one of boxing's superstars at his peak because he really was p4p the best of his time. For the record I think the best version of him would have toyed with GGG or Canelo at their best.

AB was a heavily featured fighters at the time Ward was at his peak come to think of it. People cared more about a guy who's dad brushes his hair in the ring and who posts videos of himself at Popeyes than they did very high class in ring performances by Ward.

But GGG vs Chavez Jr was nearly a done deal….at 168. Oh how quickly we forget…..

What would NSB be without hate threads? And we’re talking about a guy who’s been inactive for nearly 7 years.

He said, look at me I'm a little middle-weight. So if he can't fight in 168, why he is cutting the deal for a paycheck to fight? Fine in my book for an ATG to call his BS! Weird no one is supposed to say anything to these Eastern Euro and Central Asians and we are supposed to believe every bit of BS that comes out of some of their mouths.
