As a fan of both Andre Ward (the fighter) and Canelo Alvarez, let’s be honest here, if Canelo was African American, Ward would be speaking way differently of Canelo.

In fact, Ward would be fighting the Canelo hate by chalking it up to racism.

Let’s be honest here.

And to end the criticism with “but I respect what he’s done”, is just fake.

Andre Ward just sounds jealous. If Jermall Charlo had CNelo’s resume, he’d be saying Charlo is an ATG.

Ward is so spot on here. He is making a very salient point. A lot of fighters pad their resumes against shot fighters or fighters who are well past their primes.

If GGG wouldn’t fight Ward and if Canelo won’t fight Benavidez. Then what makes one so confident that Alvarez will ever fight Dre?

Canelo beat ggg and he will fight Benavidez, it’s yet to be seen if he beats Benavidez but that fight is too big now to no happen. Whether it’s 2024 2025 or 2026 idk but it’ll happen.

Bivol & Beterbiev were prospects with less than 10 fights & zero experience or fights against former champions or contenders when Ward retired. Make it believable at least lol

Dimitry Bivol elevated to WBA champion status that same year, when Ward vacated his belt. Artur Beterbiev who's just one year younger than Ward also won a vacant Lt HW belt in 2017.

"prospects" LOL f.ucking dumbass casuals. Bivol and Beterbiev were his #1 mandatories or at least very close to being mandatories. No way were they prospects.

The crazy thing is canelo isn’t close to being done, he on the downhill side of his career but his legacy will only grow and all these topics and debates will seem even more ****** then they do now. It burns Ward up that he never made the kind of money that Canelo, and worse still Golovkin, have made. But he made millions and is very well paid now as a co-commentator - it seems he hasn't come to terms with the fact that boring fighters like him will never make as much money as KO artists with similar status. The same think likely will repeat with Tank and Shakur.
