Would allow Canelo to continue to avoid Benavidez by taking a high profile, winnable fight.

Hopefully, Canelo ignores Ward and focuses on making the better fight.
It sounds like it but I don't think it will ever happen because the insurance would stop paying Dre right? Something like that.

Canelo would have fought Ward no problem, but Ward can say anything now that he's out. Canelo bashers love it.

Probably. I am not sure how that is structured.

Ward hasn’t been working on ESPN so maybe he is looking for this fight to get one last massive payday.

Besides, if he somehow wins he’ll get another massive payday for the rematch.

Stop Capping Ward you know for a fact he would fight you and you continuously take shots at him because you never had the support or fanbase
Canelo does and honestly you "retired" at 33 because you didn't want to keep fighting that's your choice but remember you didn't fight Beterbiev
or Stevenson when they were around either!

Ward was an excellent fighter in his prime and a very defensive fighter. He is just stating his opinion about Canelo. Love it or hate it. One thing is for sure is that he would've beat Canelo in his prime. His style of moving counterpunching, working off of the jab would have given Canelo all kinds of problems. Canelo has never beaten a world class fighter in his prime. He lost to Bivol, Mayweather and Lara. Hate on Ward all you want but his resume speaks for himself and he is in the hall of fame.

Come out of retirement and make the fight with Canelo, that's a mega event, big time money, do it!

Ward never became a ppv star because when he fought clean, he was boring and when he faced adversity he became dirty, even the casuals could see that.
