Comments Thread For: Andre Ward Says Canelo Alvarez Would Never Fight Him If He Was Active

Ward is so spot on here. He is making a very salient point. A lot of fighters pad their resumes against shot fighters or fighters who are well past their primes.

If GGG wouldn’t fight Ward and if Canelo won’t fight Benavidez. Then what makes one so confident that Alvarez will ever fight Dre?

Thats just vague supposition by Ward. Sounds bit jealous too tbh. Andre never got to be undisputed let alone generate big bucks the ginger does.

This right here….. “And a lot of times the people point out the names, right? He beat this guy ... no. When did he beat them? Oh, he was past his prime. People don't know to look for those kinds of things. They just say it's a name.”

The above is as accurate as it gets and it’s what gets Canelo fans punching air. They act as if people don’t know any better when they throw out the names. Canelo’s resume on paper is much better than what the reality is.

Canelo has never beaten an A level fighter in his prime and at the proper weight. Everytime he fights a skilled boxer he gets beat up Mayweather, bivol, lara ggg 1
Canelo is looking like a scared B**** ducking benevidez Hey Ginger your boxing record is severely padded with bums and bar Fights. Ginger Alvarez.

From the safety of his retirement, Andre Ward has this opinion. He could still come back if he wanted to. And no, the fight couldn't be in his back yard.

In his prime, no chance for Canelo. Right now and being inactive, Ward gets beat down.

Kovalev had this buffoon rocked and beat, up until he run out of gas like he do. Canelo would send him out of the ring on a stretcher. And by the way, it would be the other way around with Ward staying clear out of having to fight canelo.
