Ryan Garcia is apparently very eager to get in the ring with newly anointed two-division champion Devin Haney. Haney, the former unified lightweight champion, thoroughly dominated 140-pound titlist Regis Prograis Saturday night

Should try to earn a shot at a title by actually fighting somebody in the division to position himself in that spot instead.

Ryan has a few things that need fixing before getting in the ring with Haney. Backing out with his hands down and chin in the air , and the worst attempt at a shoulder roll in history. It might be an alright fight. The press conferences would be fun.

It doesn't work that way when you generate enough money. It's unfortunate but it is reality. Boxing is a business and no longer a sport , if it ever was.

Not a fan of either but this is a fight I'd actually like to see. Haney by far the better boxer but Ryan's hands are fast and his power is real.

            that said, I'd prefer Haney/Lopez

Man tell this C level instagram boxer to accomplish something first before trying to jump the line for title fights. Dude had 1 shot at glory and quit for the world to see. Ryan is Khan level of delusional, except at least khan actually won a world title and had some high level wins on his resume when he was whoring himself out for a Floyd or pac fight. Ryan hasn’t done shyt.

I find it interesting that Haney said before the fight that he would vacate the belt and move to 147

                Obvious Matias duck... Blatant...

I don't care about anyone at 140 right now- no one is beating Matias, and Haney knows it lol.

Good business, is good business. Go fight Boots for the vacant 147 after Crawford vacates to move up to 154.

Boots vs Haney sounds great, actually. Apologies- typing and thinking lol.

Haney could become a 3 weight champion.. in 5 fights

Not if he fights Boots at 147 for a title. Haney may be more skilled than Boots, though I doubt it - defensively yes but offensively no - and therein lies the problem - Haney's chin was c grade at 135 - at 147 it'll be D-/E+ grade and Boots power is at least B level and he will connect multiple times.

If Haney beats Ryan he'd be a superstar - that might even get his profile to where Bud would think his scalp would enhance his legacy - that would end badly for Haney. Haney should stick to 140 now - Rolly is a given win if that gets made and Ryan andd Teo are winnable fights as are Davies/Barroso if the winner beats Rolly.
