So now us boxing fans are supposed to believe that he will now cut the ring off against Devin Haney? Please! Give me a break! I don't think so. Also, I don't see a reason why Haney won't fight Jaron "Boots" Ennis.
Devin Haney has nothing to lose and everything to prove by being the smaller man moving up in weight.
I hope Haney goes after Boots. You and I have chatted many times so we will def catch-up if it happens.
Haney has no where to go but to fight either Tank or Shakur and those are 50/50 fights.
Boots is 31-0 and you are fixated on ONE fight ignoring how spectacular he has looked in all his fights.

We can talk about weight draining all we care to, fact is Ryan told the public he was 100% going in and didn't say otherwise until he took a knee.
I'd expect Tank to fight Teo because I frankly think Tank deals with Teo easily. But right now Tank is chasing cash, not threats.
In reality Tank wouldn`t even fight Lomachenko, the guy of his size.

Ryan hasn’t done shyt.

In addition; l believe that Crawford should give him an opportunity to challenge for the welterweight crown as well. So this is not personal with me.
However, I am a realist too and styles makes fights. I may be wrong but I just think that Haney’s style is all wrong for Boots that’s all.

The 135/140 divisions are the most stacked divisions I’ve seen in a long time. Shakur, Haney, Tank, and Boots are on a collision course. Throw in popular names like Ryan, Rolly, Matias, Teo etc and then factor in all of them are in their mid twenties, they will eventually have to fight each other. 2024 and 2025 all of them will have no choice to risk their unblemished record.
I like Haney for sure but I will not favor him to beat Shakur or even Tank. And I believe if Boots stays at 147 until 2026, he will beat all these guys and anyone else at that weight.

I'm all about intriguing matchups though, so I'd love to see Haney try his hand.champion4ever likes this.

He needs for his opponents to stand flat-footed in order to slug with him and Devin won't do that. He won't be stationary enough of a target for Jaron to hit him.
Haney will be constantly on his bicycle circling the ring while sticking that jab of his in the process. However, if by chance Jaron does win this matchup then that would have meant one of two things have happened.
The first; "Boots" have learned to cut off the ring and secondly; Haney just simply decided to settle down on his power by trading and exchanging punches with the much stronger Jaron "Boots" Ennis".
If either one of those scenarios happens then Ennis would easily win this fight by way of knockout.
