I'm finding it difficult to even imagine how proof of cheating in a boxing match could come to be covered by a NDA. Whether or not the cheating itself could lead to goal time is irrelevant. Like I said, a lot of money changes hands as a direct consequence of the outcome of a big fight. Concealing evidence which would have led to a different outcome would be illegal, if both the evidence and proof that it was concealed came to light.
"I think you're vastly overestimating how much cheating in boxing counts as criminal conduct. It's EXCEEDINGLY rare for courts to get involved. It gets left to the corrupt commissions and alphabet organizations and state licensing the overwhelming majority of the time."
Different subject, really. But the reason why so few blatant and violent fouls in contact sports end up in court is that, usually, nobody complains to the police about them.
