There are lots of known faces of boxing right now. Just because some of the biggest fights end of being non-competitive such as Bud/Spence and Tank/Ryan, it doesn't mean the match ups don't captivate the public. You can never tell how a bout between two high profile fighters is going to go. May/Pac ended up being a dud but the public still bought into it didn't they? That kind of thing has always happened in boxing. Some lower level undercard fights end up being more exciting or interesting than the main events. It's just how it goes. Styles make fights.
I’m talking about popularity and boxing does not have any equivalent star to what was the case in the past. When Leonard fought Duran, Hearns or Hagler, it was as if the world stopped to watch. Same when Tyson had his first fight out of prison , or faced Holyfield or Lennox. Same when Oscar fought Trinidad. Same when Mayweather fought Pac. Who is currently coming close to that level of being able to captivate the public? Canelo vs Charlo? Fury vs Wilder? Haney vs Loma? Tank vs Ryan? Nah

LOL @ Wilder's haters. Y'all never quit hating. Hahahaha! Wilder is a multi-millionaire and y'all still trying to convince someone that he is crap. Jealousy is an unforgiving master. The old folks used to say, the proof is in the pudding. He's made it guys, wherever it goes from here. He's had a h3lluva ride. Hope y'all had fun hating. LoL! That stuff leaves you bitter. As far as the legacy, Wilder is okay. He's had a nice career so far. Hopefully it ends well too.

The old folks actually said the proof of the pudding is in the tasting, and that the love of money is the root of all evil.

They also said a fool and his money are easily parted. So do you think Wilder will still be a multi-millionaire in 10 years time ?

In this day and age where there are so many other popular athletes plus the fact that it seems like big names do not fight more than once or twice a year, you'll never get that with boxing ever again. Even Canelo is a relative no name when compared to super popular/famous athletes of other sports...he earns a lot of money, more than most famous athletes, but in terms of pure general public knowledge, he's much lower than a lot of boxing fans think. General public who has no interest in the sport still know that Messi is a name of a soccer player. Same for Michael Jordan, a basketball player. My mother who I can guarantee hasn't watched a minute of boxing in her life would still know who Mike Tyson is...she won't recognize him by face but the name is famous enough for her to know he was a boxer.

-He was late to the game & didn't build up a resume of names that others have

              - Fury proved to be better in the ring head to head, and for some reason boxing can only have one fighter per weight class that gets to be popular; thats why so many protect the '0'.
Fair comments. Tbh I’m defo one that rips his technique, but my point is his KO power has/had much, much bigger crossover power with non-purists. So many, many casuals could and should’ve gotten on board with boxing off the back of his stuff

Yes but those fights were when there were only 3 channels on TV! There is so much more choice and distraction now. And over here football squashes every other sport into the margins

                  Yea .

How can Teo be more delusional when he called Wilder himself a BIATCH after making excuses in the Fury loss ? That means he’s self aware of delusional fighters in the game .

                    He’s not wrong.

but he’s not respected cus he will forever be the black champ that got his head bashed in by an unskilled far white guy.

Jake Paul is a multi-millionaire and he is crap. Wilder is a very good fighter but face of boxing?? lol

Usyk is not the face of boxing and he is a small guy with no great power at HW. He came up from crusierweight and within 5 minutes won more titles than Wilder ever had....

Wilder has been too scared to take the big fights in his career. Even Fury was an easy pick that backfired - big name, retired, fat
